> 3 dayHow can anyone complain about this fan? They probably installed it incorrectly so it runs at max rpm all the time (1200 rpm). I installed using 4-pin PWM. This fan is so quiet I cant hear it when it runs between 600-1200 rpm depending on my computers load. I now hear my refrigerator or environmental noises more. Ive included a video, its quiet even with the case side panel removed. In fact I believe my power supply fan is more audible, I may have to upgrade the PSU next. I attached this fan to my case and use it as an exhaust fan. I still cant get over the build quality of this fan, its very well engineered and seems built to last.

Greater than one weekThe fans DID NOT WORK. Installation was a hassle - the brown vibration things provided do not go through the holes, and the screws are impossible to screw. You have to use all your force and it is a 2 person job just to get 1 screw in. In the end, the fans did not even spin. Complete waste of money, do not buy this.

20-11-2024I needed a quiet fan for the low profile heat sink in my Home Theater Personal Computer (HTPC). I used a ASUS Z87M-Plus motherboard with ASUS Fan Xpert 2 Fan control software. Other PWM fans I tried would not spin down correctly and could not be calibrated to work with the automatic speed control of Fan Xpert 2. I installed this Noctua fan and it calibrated with Fan Xpert 2 perfectly the first time and now works to automatically control the fan speed based on the processor temperature. The fan runs full speed at 1200 RPM when the processor is at full load and slows to 250 RPM at idle. Even at full speed the processor the fan is quiet and at idle cannot be heard. Pros: comes with a full set of accessories, works great with Fan Xpert 2 where other fans wont and has a 6 year warranty. Cons: pricey compared to other fans. If I had purchased this fan to begin with I would have saved the days I spent troubleshooting my HTPC trying to find out the problem with the other fans not being sensed correctly by Fan Xpert 2. So much for being a cheapskate. Next time Ill buy this better fan to begin with.

> 3 dayExcellent. Seems very well made, surprisingly robust and heavy. Packaged like a premium product. Quiet. Good air flow. You can obviously get fans a lot cheaper, so is it worth the premium? Depends on the budget I suppose. Its a real quality item; get this and you wont have to think about case fans again for a very long time.

> 3 dayLa verdad es que mantiene la temperatura interna unos grados por debajo de lo que lo hacía el ventilador genérico de la caja CON EL MISMO NIVEL DE RUIDO. Y esto es lo que no me gusta. No es que sea mucho, es muy poco en realidad, pero quizás soy demasiado exigente y yo todavía esperaba menos, a la vista de las críticas immejorables tanto de este producto como de la marca en general.

> 3 dayGood, solid fans. I bought 3 of them and put them in my case. I allowed the MB to control the fan speeds (manual control just seems dumb to me) based on load/heat detection. They are more or less quiet (I dont notice them running, but my desktop is under my desk), and appear to move plenty of air when needed. Typically, if the machine is under heavy load, the CPU/GPU fans drone out any noise from these fans. I dont have a CFM measurement device, nor a pressure sensor, so I cant comment on the actual performance of the fans. They are well-built, and have some nice touches - the edges are smooth, and rubberized-plastic coated, but that doesnt actually contribute to any noise canceling. The are, after all, attached via hard screw to the case.
