Noctua NH-D15, Premium CPU Cooler with 2X NF-A15 PWM 140mm Fans (Brown)

Noctua NH-D15 installed in Cooler Master mid tower case. Relatively easy to install and keeps the cpu nice and cool. No coolant pump so no future coolant pump problem as there was on my Corsair Hydro Series H115i after only 9 months and a cost of $140. My system makes minimal noise but I cant tell if any is from the cpu fan as the case has 2 fans and two disk drives always running. Im not even sure if the fan is being turned on as the heat sink is staying cool and I dont feel any air flow. Unit comes with two fans but Ive installed one as recommended unless you need additional cooling, maybe this summer.

IMPORTANT!!! Make sure your RAM will fit with this cooler. If you have very high-profile RAM it may not fit.

I bought this to replace a two year old liquid cooler and I am very impressed. I managed to overclock my old 2.6Ghz core i7 to 4.2GHz and the temps have not exceed 76°C. With my old water cooled radiator system, I couldnt clock it past 3GHz without running into heat issues. Overall, this single upgrade has allowed me to extend the life of my PC significantly. I would highly recommend this to anyone using a full sized ATX case (it is pretty large).

Great cooler but man did it mess up my system aesthetically. My system is all black with some LEDs and this monster just covered all my nice LED ram and looked like a 90s computer. that being said for 90$ its better than an AIO on the market and most likely over kill for anything you have to cool. If you dont mind the color its fantastic. I heard they are coming out with black ones later in 2019 .

Great cooler. I havent done an extensive overclock on my r7 2700x but so far Ive gotten further with my oc using this. I went up to 42.5 with ease from 40.0 I didnt add adjust the voltage from where I have it at though but I do know that before this NH-15D anything other 40.0 at the voltage I have set wouldnt be possible. I just need to either get a bigger case or get a Noctua 120mm fan. My ram is a little too high with the rgb on it and I cant close my case so Im going to change one of the fans first to see if that helps. All in all this is a great cooling system and I dont hear the fans enough to pay attention to the sound because they are very quiet..
