> 3 dayIve had a liquid cooler for 3 years, worked fine although a little noisy. In the past month my temperatures at idle and under load have been concerning. In the past week I was hitting 45 - 50 idle and 100 under load (WOW, World Of Tanks). Something had to be done, so I did some reading and watched various reviews. I was settled on a new liquid cooler but it turned out unless I was buying something like a H100 (not a great fit for my case as the top fan has a 20mm depth allowance) everything pointed towards that an air cooled one would be better than a H60 or H80.

> 3 dayThe Noctua NH-D15 is hands down the best air cooler on the market. First off, the packaging on this item is excellent. Everything was neatly divided into its own separate box, one for Intel mounting, AMD mounting, accessories, (thermal paste, custom screwdriver, extra mounting hardware, etc.) and a box for the secondary fan and the heatsink itself. Ive been building PCs for years, and do it as a living, and I have to say that for such a large heatsink, the install took me a few minutes. Keep in mind that this cooler is pretty massive, and quite a few cases may not be able to house the beast. But it runs extremely quiet running off the motherboard, and extremely cool in my Corsair Air 540 case. Aesthetically, its not the prettiest heatsink Ive seen (bequiet!, Cryorig) but its not nearly as bad in person at it looks in pictures. I pictured a horrid, chrome looking nightmare sitting in my case, and its not nearly as bad looking as I wouldve expected. All in all, great, great heatsink, and for all of my other builds that require air cooling, Noctuas NH-D15 will be my go to cooler.

> 3 dayTruly a beast of a cooler, this thing will cool any CPU down to the mid to low 40c range. Very big form however I saw an improvement of -20c from my previous temperatures. Overall possible the best CPU cooler I’ve ever seen.

> 3 daySimply Put this is a stunning cpu cooler I got a drop of 20c from my previous Prolimatech Red Megahalems CPU Cooler that equated to a 400mhz gain on my overclock under identical conditions apart from the cooler itself install was quite easy but be prepared to remove your top graphics card to clip the fans on In size comparison between the two units its around the same height of the Prolimatech but obviously wider if you are unsure about it fitting just check on Noctuas website as there is a comprehensive list of motherboards it fits mine was listed so I ordered with confidence and it fits fine
