> 3 dayIn my opinion, the NH-D15 is overrated. This is because my i5-7600k CPU has only drop at most 4ºC after replacing the Hyper 212 EVO with the NH-D15. Although the NH-D15 is very well-built, it does not perform a lot better than the very cheap Hyper 212 EVO. To me, I am very disappointed with it as I have spent $90 just for a few degrees of temperature drop.

> 3 dayReplaced Corsair H100 with this cooler (It was getting pretty long in the tooth and developed a squeak in the pump). A bit warmer with idle temps but when under load actually cools better than the H100. My PC is set up in a CM HAF XB its not really meant to be a quiet rig, its more like a test bench type design, very airy very open.. despite that, replacing the H100 with this actually reduced my noise levels. I didnt install the low noise adapter as its not needed.. unless youre going for completely inaudible. Would recommend for any application as long as you can fit it in your case. On my particular motherboard one of the cooling towers actually sits above one of my RAM DIMM slots but if youll notice there is a cutout at the bottom of the towers that actually allows quite a tall heat spreader on your ram. Im using corsair vengeance and there is room to spare, to give you an idea. If youre concerned with compatibility be sure to check out the notcua website, theyve got a pretty exhaustive compatibility chart that you can reference to make sure it works with your motherboard. Also check the specs for your case, there will usually be a metric for CPU Cooler Clearance or something along those lines and just bounce that off the size of the NH-D15.

20-11-2024I ordered this cooler since my old AIO Corsair liquid cooler pump gave out after 5 years of operation. I read the reviews for the Noctua and it appeared to be the best rated all around. Order was received promptly and the item was in excellent condition. Installation was a breeze, the only negative thing was that the middle fan was hard to attach to the radiator due to the lack of space between the bottom of the cooler and the top of the video card, but eventually it worked out. I have one of the largest cases available on the marked, the Corsair Obsidian D900 and thus there was plenty of room for this huge cooler. I am not sure if it will fit small or mid cases. The performance of the Noctua is better then the previous liquid cooler by a large margin: when new, the Corsair was idling at 35 degrees C and at full CPU load about 75 degrees, the Noctua idles at about 29 degrees and goes up to 50 degrees at full load. I would recommend the Noctua NH-D15 highly. One other benefit is that the Noctua is whisper quiet, while the Corsair was fairly noisy.

> 3 dayThis is a cooler for 7700k like hottest CPU. With reputed water cooler and 3000 rpm fan max. temperature was 82C. Now with Noctua NH D15 and Noctua stock fan max. temperature. is 73C. But there are 2 facts that everyone should know. I bent the cpu socket pin by mounting most popular cheap heat pipe tower cooler. The most popular brand is not Noctua. So be aware from most popular air cooler. The mounting system of the D15 is the best among known competitors. 2nd this cooler is not for every motherboard. This cooler is specially not compatible with many micro ATX board. Check the Noctua website before order.

Greater than one weekVery easy to set up, and a highly surprising change in temperature. With the stock cooler, load temperatures were 85*c~ while with this cooler it never goes higher than 45*c. Youll need a pretty big case for it, though.
