North American Rescue Hyfin Vent Chest Seal, Original Version 2 Count (Pack of 1)

> 3 dayTheres a lot of hype around North American Rescue products. They make great stuff, but I have noticed that their vented Hyfin chest seals can get messy when they are stuffed tight for long periods of time in an IFAK (the norm, unfortunately). They become difficult to detach and sometimes the plastic tab breaks off. There is also a loss of uniformity in the gel (gets messy) if they are scrunched up in your bag for a long time. Still very good, but I would keep an open mind and check out H&H Medicals “H*VENT Laminar Vented Chest Seals” which are a superior product in several ways (better vent, gel stays more uniform, easier to detach) even when stuffed in your IFAK.

> 3 dayOrdered some of these for personal kit never having used one. Less than a week later I used three at work for a large caliber trauma of chest and back. Easy to apply, adherance to damp/bloody skin was not an issue with the provided gauze. 10/10 would recommend.

Greater than one weekI cant rate the adhesion unfortunately because Im not going to open one up to test it. Its another product that you hope you never have to use but you never know that time may come and you hope that it will work. Well priced and quick shipping. Package was in excellent shape when arrived so no doubt these are still sealed as intended. Will buy more in the future thats for sure.

> 3 dayThese are the new smaller pair of chest seals. I keep them in a few different packs just in case things go down.

> 3 dayThis is an excellent product for EMS treatment of sucking chest wounds. Package includes 2 seals - one for the entrance wound and one for an exit wound. Pack is clearly labeled and easy to use. The vendor charged a fair price and shipped fresh product quickly. It arrived in good shape and was exactly as described.

> 3 dayThis is the same brand, and type, used by the U.S. Special Forces Medics(18D) in the field. During a TCCC course, we were shown this specific product being used to patch up a 7.62 bullet wound on an Army SF Lt. The glue on this product will last for years...yes, years, even after being used in training during that time. If you are serious about quality MEDIC supplies, stick with North American Rescue! Its the ONLY one recommended by actual military and LE tactical units. I learned this the hard way with a cheap TQ...thankfully it was training, and not field work.
