Small liquid capsules, easy to swallow. I take this along with calcium for supplementation, as I drink only coconut milk. Coconut milk does not have near the calcium that cows milk does, but in following the blood type diet, I need to avoid dairy. Rather than loading up on a bunch of supplements and vitamins I dont need, I choose to take mine individually so I can control how much of each I get. This has been a perfect supplement with calcium for me. NOW so far has seemed to me to be a great company, one I will continue to buy from.

My Cardiologist ran a blood test to test my Vitamin D-3 levels and in the follow up appointment told me, Whatever you are doing taking Vitamin D3 keep it up. If you do research online, you will learn that even in places like Saudi Arabia and where you would think people receive enough Vitamin D3 from sunlight - you will learn, NOT! I am BIG fan of NOW products; they are high quality, fresh, and work as advertised. The price is always good, too. While individual results will vary, my doc recommended a Vit D supplement last year. Perhaps its the product, itself, or perhaps some placebo effect of simply taking the pill, but Ive never felt better and my Vit D deficiency (as reported via blood analysis) is no more. Best part? The pill is the size of an eraser on a pencil, even smaller. No odor. Great stuff!

I was instructed to take these by my doctor but to be honest, I dont think Id know if it works unless I get more blood tests done, which is sooo not happening (Im not a fan of needles >w< haha) The product itself is what it is though so all I can do is really assume it contains all the good stuff it says it does. Otherwise, the pills look like little tiny gel beads and go down smoothly with an adequate amount of water (normal swallowing amount works just fine), and the only negative-ish comment I have about it is that it has a bit of a fishy smell if you ever take a whiff of it. It doesnt TASTE like fish (though Ive never exactly bit the pill apart; only swallowed), but if you just smell it with all the beads in the container, they compound to equate fish-stank.
