Greater than one weekSet this up in my garage. The photo I included is 150 inch projection with the projector sitting about five or six feet away. The projector screen was $150 i think. The black bars at top and bottom were added by the movie. Given what I paid for it I think the image quality is very good. Have been using it very regularly. It will not do well with too much ambient light. So if it was 3 or 4:00 p.m. with the light coming through my garage door windows at just the wrong time, I wouldnt be able to really enjoy the golf event though I would be able to see it. Obviously the projector speakers are not great so I connected a Bose soundtouch speaker. Small but sounds good

> 3 dayIf youre looking for a projector that will blow your mind, look no further than the Optoma GT1090HDRx Short Throw Laser Home Theater Projector! Its the perfect choice for anyone who loves movies and wants to enjoy them at home in the best possible quality. The Optoma GT1090HDRx packs a punch with its 4K HDR input, which means youll get crisp, clear images that pop with vibrant colors. Plus, its super bright with 4,200 lumens, so you can watch movies any time of day or night without worrying about pesky glare. One of the coolest features of this projector is its short-throw lens. You can set it up in a small room and still get a huge, immersive picture that feels like youre in a theater. Its also really easy to set up with lots of input options like HDMI, USB, and VGA.

> 3 dayGreat picture quality. Its touted as a gamer friendly projector and I agree unless youre playing competitive pvp. For that its not good enough. Money well spent overall.

> 3 dayI have to say Im mighty disappointed at this model. In the surface the specs look great and was happy with them. I usually buy the insurance for anything major and of course this time I didnt. This model burned through its first lamp in 4 months with 150 hours of viewing, second in 6 months with 1 hour use. Replaced at no charge as under warranty and third burned through today. Thats 3 in a year at 250 dollars a piece and its just not worth keeping with those running expenses. Very unhappy and will never buy this brand again. Its not the bulbs. I just got a lemon.

> 3 dayI am very disappointed with this unit. After reading the positive reviews I had expectations that the picture quality would be good for use in a golf simulator, gaming and movies. I’m projecting it onto a large screen but colors are washed out even at small screen sizes and worse the image has a grid line on it as if I’m looking through a screen door. This happens with image sizes over 80 inches. I called tech-support and I was on hold for about 30 minutes and gave up and just left a message. I emailed them as well and never heard back. A few days later I called again and the agent said I should take the picture out of focus so the lines are not as noticeable! Ridiculous. Just paid nearly $1000 for a projector that’s supposed to be high definition and now he’s telling me to take it to a focus that makes it look like an old tube TV from the 1980s. I had someone over to see the setup and they said “ I think your projector is in test mode I can see gridlines on the screen.” Going to look for another brand projector.
