> 3 dayThe only negative is lack of audio. Either audio system or headset fixes the trick...good for on the go and perfect for gaming.

> 3 dayWhat projector only comes with vertical keystone!? Not everyone can use the projector straight on with the screen. Mine has to sit off center just a smidge. No options to adjust the horizontal keystone. Only vertical. Super annoying.

> 3 dayThe picture and brightness on this thing is good enough. The first thing you’ll notice is the zoom is absolutely useless. You’ll almost certainly have to drill new holes in your ceiling to re-mount it because the projected image won’t come anywhere near what it’s replacing. The next thing you’ll notice is the rainbow effect is horrible and honestly a seizure risk for people sensitive to flickering lights. After that you’ll notice that the power button on the remote doesn’t work, but don’t worry, their support will blame your FireTV stick for that (as though they don’t have control of whether their own device powers on from its own remote). Oh, and the final insult is finding that it powers itself off with an overheating LED code because they apparently didn’t build in sufficient cooling. What an abomination. Don’t make the mistake of purchasing this doorstop like I did.

Greater than one weekI never could get the audio to work. I called Optoma tech support and the guy told me to send it back. It is defective. I was so disappointed. Had wanted this projector for a year. Finally convinced my husband to let me order it and it doesn’t work. I could cry.

> 3 dayNot going into length on this. But after 2 years, white dots are beginning to take over the screen. This is a failing DMD chip. Contacted technical support who informed me the chip was $400. Then theres a $110 cost, right out of the gate. Plus shipping and Im sure other fees. To fix a chip will cost the same as a new projector. Not to mention the part is not in stock. I informed them that this will prevent me from ever purchasing another Optoma product. And that Id share my experience. Didnt seem to matter. I would encourage you to steer clear.

> 3 dayGreat projector for gaming (Call of Duty) and movies! I don’t have windows in the room where it’s set up, but I do have to dim the lighting to get the best picture...I have the projector approximately 11’ from my screen and not sure how it would do in my living room where it’s bright out during the day. I may attempt in the future to set it up there and see how it does- if so I’ll repost the results. Otherwise a great projector!

> 3 dayPros - high Pic quality, bright - seeing very well with lighted room, easy to use, include HDMI CEC which make the Remote control useless, super quiet, comfortable price. Cons - lamp area is super hot, cant touch it. thats why I didnt gave 5 stars I guess it wont extend lamp life...

09-06-2025This projector is great! Crystal clear high def picture, focuses perfectly across the screen! I tried others, due to the angle I project from, parts of the screen remain blurry, I had to go back with an optima. Very bright, large projection, sharp image, keystone works grey even from a high angle.
