> 3 day3 problems on the first day: The unit is producing lots of heat, the screen sometime flicking colors and make my eyes go into discomfort and feel dizzy, last but not least the hdmi slot doesn’t let me connect to my laptop…will not recommend this model if you consider to buy it.

19-11-2024I loved my old Optoma projector so when it died, I purchased this one to upgrade in a similar price range and quality. The machine is beautiful and the picture quality is fantastic, however - the design is absolutely non-sensical. On the back of the machine there are two legs but only one of them is adjustable, the other is fixed. So if you want to adjust the angle of the image to your wall, good luck, your only option is a lopsided picture because only one legs height can be adjusted. The other leg is fixed, you cant screw it in or out to adjust height. If someone can explain to me how this is sensible design, Id love to know. I am in disbelief. I also reached out to Optoma support to inquire about this, and I was not given any solution or reasoning, just a yea thats weird design, but I dont know why and its not my job to know, Ill pass it along to the team. Lol. What a joke.

Greater than one weekThis is my second and probably last Optima projector. #1 was good, this one HD28HDR is a dud! The fan in it is super LOUD (terrible whining noise.... not normal). The image has ghosting on it as well. If this is where optima has gone with their quality, skip it. Save your money and buy something else as the warranty on a device should be longer than 12 months and the device should run longer than that too....... 1 out of 5 stars, would not recommend.

> 3 daySo far so good. I first bought the $200 projector and that was a bust! Had it for a couple days and it stop working. It was a tough decision between the Epson and Optoma. Picture quality and speed for gaming it’s definitely great for your buck! I’ll do a follow up review after 90 days and let you know how things are.

> 3 dayBought this 2-3 years back. Still performing very well. I don’t use it every single day and admittedly am not near the maximum bulb life, but I’m still impressed by the phenomenal picture on my 135” projector screen. I do wish it was a little more silent, but once the movie or game is on, everything is perfect. I hook up my portable speaker to it via the 3mm cable speaker output port and sounds great. Love this projector!
