> 3 dayI use the projector to movies, mostly. Even with some clarity from window, the images are clear.

> 3 dayI returned the item well within the return time window and it took much longer than usual for the return process.(Buyers beware! They charged quite a bit on the return.)The projector is decent but didnt work with my pioneer reciever. It is seriously picky on compatibility with hdmi cables.

> 3 dayI have not yet had the opportunity to use the remote yet but the projector turned out great. I got it to use for movies outdoors and am not disappointed. We hooked up some large speakers and it was just like you were at the drive in.

> 3 dayI have had this projector slightly over a year. At first, it was great, no issues. Then slowly a few things started to pop up. Once in a while, all of the images have a green hue. I reset and it is fine. However, the biggest issue is that it is NOT as bright as they say and it seems to be getting worse. I probably average an hour of use a day, so at under 500 hours, I should not notice a huge drop. It has become so hard to see images that I literally need all lights turned off if I am going to try and watch something. I also notice several flickering if an image is panning around. That said, it is the lack of brightness that is driving me nuts. I wrote to optoma and they told me I would have to pay to fix it. Why would I spend more money on a 1 year old overpriced unit? Ill be avoiding Optoma in the future.

25-11-2024This projector is mostly quiet and looks good but do not be fooled by the 15,000 hr lamp life claim as I was. A year and 1 month after purchase the lamp crapped out. And guess what. The manufacturer only waranties the lamp for 90 days. I ran a little math and if it had been on for a whole year that would have still came under 9,000 hrs... so they might as well say it lasts a gigilion hrs if they dont have to back that up with a warranty right. I thought ahead knwoing bulbs are a projectors weak point and bought 3 years of extended warranty through Asurion. Short story. Dont waste your money on it. Long storry after jumping through hoops for them for about 5 hrs my persistance paid off and they emailed me a lable to send my projector out to get repaired. A week and 3 days later i received my projector back cleaned and with a note that stated customer must replace bulb. Guess what. They dont cover bulbs. Isnt that great. Learn from my mistake. Know that, while the picture quality is good, you are buying from a company that wont stand behind their grandious claims. do yourself a favor and dont shell out the extra 50 some odd dollars for a 3 yr cleaning contract that takes years of your life due to the stress of just trying to get your warranty honored. IMHO Optoma and Asurion both suck and are permanently loosing a customer and gaining bad publicity.

> 3 dayGreat picture quality. Would be even better if the projector could be connected by Bluetooth.

> 3 dayThis is a great projector, especially if you are using it for gaming. I was so impressed with it, I ditched the TV entirely. Its super bright. Great response times. Enough features. I have Fire Stick, Chromecast, PS4, and a direct connect HDMI all connected. But... It has handshake issues. This isnt the end of the world, but it does make it annoying enough that I reached to Optoma customer service to see if they had any resolutions. I ran across mentions of the issue in multiple reviews, including Projector Central. The main issue Im having is with a direct connection to my MacBook, Thunderboldt to HDMI. It basically wont hold the picture, constantly flickering. Ive tried multiple cables and converters, nothing works. Other reviews mention issues with the PS4 (Ive had none) or other devices. Ive had minor issues with the Chromecast, but not as much as the direct connection. I believe this is a firmware issue, not a hardware issue. Customer support basically brushed me off even after I sent them links to all the other references of the handshake issue. They suggested I send it in, since its still under warranty. I havent made up my mind on what Ill do with the unit yet. I dont want to send it back in, since theyll probably send me a refurb. I just wish Optoma would recognize there is an issue and look into it. They say they have no reported handshake issues. Well, Im reporting it. That said, this is a great projector for the money. I looked long and hard before upgrading. I settled on this one mainly because of the brightness and gaming aspects.

> 3 dayBought this projector lamp went out a month later. Had the projector replaced a year later projector will not stay on after about a minute. Tech support tell you to send the projector back for repair at your expense shipping and all. This is poorly made waste of money. Had a BenQ for years never had this problem, projector still works with the first lamp.

> 3 dayIt’s a nice and bright projection, and it’s quiet. I found it easier to set up then older models had been in the past. With the no interest Amazon Payments, it’s well worth the purchase.
