This is the cable you should buy if you use any device with USB-C ports. No matter what protocol, Thunderbolt 4 or 3, or USB 4 or 3 (gen 1 or 2), this cable will work with it. No other kind of cable can do that. Cal-Digit makes one too and it’s equally good.

Das Kabel macht genau das was es soll! Bei mir als Verbindung vom Mac mini M1 zu einer externen SSD. Die Schreib/ Lesegeschwindigkeiten sind die gleichen wie mit anderen TB 4 Kabeln, bin somit mit der Leistung auch zufrieden. Ein Stern Abzug gibt’s von mir wegen der Optik. Ich besitze von OWC mehrere TB3/4 Kabel in verschiedenen Längen, dort sind die Stecker matt schwarz mit weißer Beschriftung (wie auf dem Produktbildern) das gelieferte besitzt eine graue Beschriftung mit den Spezifikationen und die Stecker sind glänzend. Das ist alles optischer Natur und tut der Leistung keinen Schaden. Klare Kaufempfehlung von meiner Seite!

Definitely liking this cable. It was either this or the expensive one from Apple. I chose this because it was easier on the wallet and it works the da me way. No issues with it at all. I’d buy it again should the need arise.

***This is not much of a product review*** I like the idea from Amazon US on your lighter-packaging-matters campaign and Im all for it. However, it went a little too far too light-weigh with your international delivery (US to Hong Kong). In short, there is no protective padding whatsoever between the product (which is not box - its just a usb c data cable to be fair from OWC) and the Amazon lighter-packaging plastic bag. The result, the journey took a toll on the package and theres a slight dent to the metal casing of one end of the male connectors and renders the cable failing to plug into my usb c ports (hence this is not a product review as I have no way to test it nor I can confirm if OWC has sent me a faulty item) ***This is not much of a product review*** If OWC has a hand in the packaging process together with Amazon US, please do something about it - I had an older version of the same thing from OWC and it has been a reliable workhorse of a cable (until it final died on me a couple of weeks ago) and I am finding myself still in search for a new one. OWC quality is so high I even prefer them to genuine Apple cables. I highly recommend this Thunderbolt 4 cable.

This looks like a nice Thunderbolt 4 cable (and I like that the wattage is printed on the cable connectors.) However, the plastic shell at the connector ends is somewhat larger than on my other Thunderbolt 3/4 cables (and also larger than on my USB-C cables). The result is that this cable will not fit into the Thunderbolt/USB-C connector on some devices that have a depressed hole around the actual Thunderbolt/USB-C connector. (My other cables *do* fit, it is just this OWC one that does not.) (The device on which I encountered this problem is a Sabrent Thunderbolt™ 3 Certified M.2 NVMe SSD Tool-Free Solid Aluminum Enclosure (EC-T3NS))
