The Steel is great. Just made my first knife and excited to use the other bars for more.

All 4 pieces of steel in my pack were crooked as a dogs hind leg. I have spent so much time trying to square them up. I dont fully understand the process of getting the flat bars ready for sale, but i know that I expect flat steel. Quality control should be a priority for a product that has american flags stamped all over it. Bring back the quality please!

Before getting into the steel, let me quickly provide some background. My kiln is an electric Evenheat with digital controls for precise temperatures. I have made many knives over the years and am very familiar with 1095. The first bar worked perfectly, producing several kiridashi knives that hold an edge very well. The second was a mess, resulting in uneven hardness despite being used for the same type of knife and heat treated/tempered the same way. Given the amount of effort involved in making a blade, it isnt worth it to run the risk with the remaining steel.

Could be 15 or 16 inches. Good material for forging knives.

Came with all 4, 3 are straight, 1 is warped. No rust or other imperfections

The product was excellent for building my knife. The problem is the order was incomplete, still waiting for my other set of steel . I ordered two only one set came in. Still waiting

I like this product but all I got was a box no metal the tape was undone on the bottom of the box no metal please help me

As advertised. Good product, made good knives. No defects in my order, very satisfied, will buy again. Would recommend to others.
