    Greater than one week

I was about to change out my spark plugs in my 2005 Mitsubishi Outlander XLS 2WD and needed this product to ensure that the electric connection stays as strong as possible for a longer period then if you dont use this on your spark plug / ignition coils down on the bottom. This Di Electical Grease really helps keep dirt, water, and oils from entering into the spark plugs and causing you with more engine repairs in the future!! Great product highly recommended!

This is a good grease. It goes on easy , spreads nice and is in a good sized tube for easy handling and tight spaces. This should keep the moisture from corroding all my marine connections.

Very simple to use. I used it when I installed new ignition coils in my truck and its not messy.

This requires a little thinking before slapping it on. this dielectric is not a conductor, it is actually an insulator. It is silicone and silicone is an insulator that does not dry out but it does smear everywhere easily so you have to be careful where you put it. It is designed to seal out water around the perimeters of rubber boot connectors in other places you dont want water to enter. It is not designed for the electrical pins, or sockets, etc. Google diakectric uses to make sure you understand before using this product. There is a silver based silicon product that is great for conducting electricity and helping out electrical connections if thats really what you need. This is an insulator not a conductor so when used properly its a great product and does what it supposed to do, insulating electrical boots etc free of water. good for using along the side a rubber spark plug boots, but not on the tip or the electricity flows. bottom line: earned five stars! Use of this product is often misunderstood so do a little research first.

Just wanted to mention the female threaded skirt of the tubes plastic cap broke completely off early on, so theres no way to reseal the tube after each use. Will have to find another cap somewhere. No problems with the grease itself - its the good stuff.

The world has not come together on all the exact application of the Dielectric greasy. Some people use it on almost everything and some get behind the it doesnt conduct electricity. Of course it doesnt conduct electricity, it just help protect the components from corrosion -water-humidity-salt-dirt... But still is a debate where to use it. I have seen people on the internet using it on almost everything. They show tests where you can see that it takes a extremely small amount of conductivity from the connection but is almost nothing if the connection is conducting a decent amount of energy. Im still not sure if I should get all the connections on my dirt bike and just make sure they are protected or if I gonna create a bigger problem. I guess Ill start by doing a few and if nothing bad happens ...ill just continue. :) These may not help that many people but I put out there what I have found. BTW the tube is bigger than I thought what its nice! :) UPDATE: I have used in every possible connection I have found on my Yamaha TW200 and so far I havent have any problem. The only thing I havent tried yet are fuse... everything else its been working fine for months. :)

Works exactly like it should. I used it when doing spark plug changes on a V8 and I still have enough to do it 20 more times I bet so Its a great size for the money.

I bought an used Schiit Freya+ tube amp and noticed that there was some noise coming from the speakers when no music was playing. The Freya has an option to bypass the tubes and I noticed that the noise went away when tubes were bypassed. I bought this dielectric grease, put a little bit on all the tube legs and voila, no more noise! I dare say that the overall sound signature itself changed and I can notice the tube sound, the sweet holographic effect that tubes have your music. I am so happy I found this on Amazon.

Great product and a great seller I will purchase from them in the future!!

Permatex dielectric tune-up grease protects electrical connections and wiring from salt, dirt and corrosion. Required for modern high energy ignition systems, dialectric grease extends the life of bulb sockets and prevents voltage leaks around any electrical connection. Also prevents spark plugs from fusing to boots. Suggested applications: marine and automotive electrical connections, spark plug boots, trailer hitches, and battery terminals.
