Powered USB Hub, atolla Aluminum 5-Port USB 3.0 Hub with 4 USB 3.0 Data Ports and 1 USB Smart Charging Port, USB Splitter with 5V/3A Power Adapter and Individual Switches

All the pretty lights lit up, but it didn’t work at all. None of the ports worked for data or charging, and atolla never responded to my emails. Sounds like it would be a great if you get one that works, but mine sure doesn’t.

My laptop had 3 USB ports but with cameras, headphones, and wireless keyboard, I was running out. This device worked exactly as described.

My main interest was in having an on-off switch for my webcam so I didnt have to unplug from usb when not using (to prevent hacking into my camera). I am not using the wall power supply since I dont need the smartcharge port. Seems to be working fine with my webcam and external drive both powered on from my computers USB 3 port. Quick press of the button turns on the port and the port light; a 1 sec press turns off the port and the light goes off. Would buy again.

Pros: Good build quality. Does what it claims. Nice appearance. Great price. Cleaned up the clutter on my desk. Im satisfied and would recommend it to a friend. Cons: None.

This USB hub did exactly as I was hoping it to do. I was able to plug in several USB drives and use a wireless mouse. Its great when Im home and sitting at my desk in my office. However its a bit bulky to tote along on trips. So I purchased from Apple a USB adapter that has a USB input port and a lightning input port along with a lightning output that plugs the adapter into my iPad Mini. With the adapter attached to the Mini, I plug in a standard non-powered USB hub with four USB inputs into the adapters USB port. Then I plug the Minis power cord into the adapters lightning input port. This works the same as the Atolla powered hub with a smaller foot print.

This product works great. I may order another for my other computer. Easy to use, give you extra USB 3.0 powered solutions. I would definitely buy this again.

I have two large external hard drives and the laptop hub did not supply enough power to run both drives at the same time. I installed this hub and they are both working perfectly.

Always test these things before you put anything you care about on them. I plugged it up to my computer and it burned out, produced magic smoke and not so magical smell, and took out my Logitech G443 headphone dongle along with it to heck. I hope that this is just a defective product as I see a lot of top star reviews, but Ill be shelling out more in the future for a brand I trust.

This is the 3rd or 4th item Ive gotten from them. In general, all my computers with external USB items seem to be running better with powered hubs. We have webcams and powered speakers being used mostly for homeschooling. Being able to change a tablet at the same time is nice too! The only catch is not all the powered units offered on Amazon come with a power supply (my first one didnt), so make sure you ensure it has the power adapter is included if you need it.

Does just what it is supposed to do. It seems solid and works without issues. My only other comment is that the LED lights in the USB ports are VERY bright. I suppose they are there so you can use them in the dark, but these can almost light up the room.
