This works really well and had been easy for us to take on road trips.

Was hoping to get a quality powered USB hub. Unfortunately, the red port (charge only) has stopped working in a little over 7 months after purchase. It is very disappointing because up to that point it worked flawlessly. I wonder how long until rest of the ports stop working.

If you are looking for consistent performance to your devices, this USB hub does not seem to provide that. I plugged in my microphone, wireless mouse, and Bluetooth transmitter. The microphone power would flash, and then completely stop transmitting audio. The wireless mouse began to stutter. The Bluetooth transmitter would not transmit clear audio. It seemed to work fine with my USB drive. It seems that maybe the device just doesnt transmit high speed data well.

The charging port doesnt work very well.

Although each USB port has a light around it, the lights may be a little bright. However, each light. there are 5, may be turned off with the button next to the each of the 5 USB ports. In a work environment this would not be an issue but in a home where it may be in a bedroom its is great the lights can be turned off. Well thought out.

Always test these things before you put anything you care about on them. I plugged it up to my computer and it burned out, produced magic smoke and not so magical smell, and took out my Logitech G443 headphone dongle along with it to heck. I hope that this is just a defective product as I see a lot of top star reviews, but Ill be shelling out more in the future for a brand I trust.

Bought this to use it to hook up cables inside what will be a modified virtual pinball machine but havent used it yet...

For some reason it interferes with computer boot-up. I have to make sure it is detached from my computer when I turn it or the start up is oddly slow and buggy. As long as I connect it AFTER the computer fully boots up, it is fine. Yes, I have tried it on several computers and got the same result. Pros - the metal chassis and charge-only port.
