> 24 hourI wanted the Lincoln 2 after seeing it for the first time, was either the Lincoln or the grant 2 i still have my HR2510 which due to scarce availability of parts and finals, i hardly run it much anymore i fire her up every now n then to keep the caps from drying out have always used higher end radios, and the so called 10 meter exports which tend to drift terribly on ssb, have the same cold solder joints or the same cracking of boards constantly as every other model offered with the ept3XXX series boards ranger, connex, galaxy or some backyard or hack c.b tech has golden screwdrivered it to death yanking out mod limiters, massive wattage tune ups, added a worthless swing kit or some new found so called tweak that i have had to go and either remove or fix and realign the tx or rx section or in most cases both, anyway president knocked the ball out of the park with this one, once you figure out what everything in the menu does, and how to move the steps for the vfo she is every simple to operate i like the fact you can change the beeps tone i have it set at 2480Khz close to NASAS quindar outro tone which is 2475Khz so its not too annoying on fm use with a distant station ,echo adjustment isnt as straightforward as it could be is nice to add just a bit for noisy situations to help cut though the qrm, ssb audio reports are crisp and super clean .f.m is crisp with no clipping, AM is a little low which is not a big deal, but its clean, the high cut filter is super nice to get rid of higher pitch static sounds just like my magnum 257 has ,nice to be able to set echo when needed with the talkback then go in to menu and shut it off, unlike my galaxies never been too fond of the asc circuit even with the uniden c.b radios as it can be a bit too strong at times for weaker stations to break the squelch range, all in all it isnt a yaesu, kenwood or icom but she has the potential to make good contacts, with good audio reports on ssb and fm and am with the right antenna setup either as a base or a mobile very happy with this radio every report gas been great with this radio not sure why others have issues

> 24 hourThis radio worked great. It was right on Frequency and has good clean power. Mars mod was easy to do. If you like 10 and 12 meter bands I cannot think of a more reliable radio than this one. Love it.

> 24 hourWhen I got this radio I wasnt impressed with the power. Dont get me wrong, it does what it says it does, but the modulation and swing was lost getting those numbers, and swing is what I was wanting. I like it over my Stryker 955, Galaxy 959 and my 148. I took it to my local shop and removed the mod limiter and had it tuned to not be a complete splatter box and now I LOVE it. Its almost doing the same as my barefoot Stryker 490 if I run the President with a KL203. There are plenty of YouTube videos on this radio for real feedback.

> 24 hourOverall a good radio. I actually like it better than my galaxy 99v that i had good transmitt and receive...but the ASC is useless so i dont use it if someone is putting a full signal on you it will work fine anything less than a 9.5 and you wont hear a thing So thats something that president needs to address and fix but if you dont mind using the squelch i would recommend this radio to anyone

> 24 hourVery nice 10m radio. Audio quality on TX is superior, does not drift frequency. Rx is very sensitive. President Electronics if you read this please make an hf radio 160m-6m as simple as this one. The only reason i gave this 4 stars is because there is zero support when it comes to the usb port, driver install and programming with computer. This is one of few times in my life where i just cant figure it out.

> 24 hourI use this as a base radio. Excellent SSB, DX contacts all over the U.S. barefoot. I dont care for all the multifunction buttons, you cant switch from SSB to AM without cycling through all options. When using channel scan, most button functions do not work. Audio quality is very good, recieve is somewhat noisy. Dead key out of the box can be turned down to 4 watts, may need to be tuned to use most solid state amps. Overall a very nice unit.

> 24 hourwas looking for a replacement for a HR2510. New radios seem to be well junk. (china) Picked up one of these after a good deal on a 980 radio. Even though it has surface mount parts, the board seems pretty heavy duty if ran in a big truck. Stock mic sounds pretty good but does have the funky 5 pin the new Pres/Uniden radios have. The recieve is great, a very close second to the ol HR2510s of the past. NB/ANL work as they should. HighCut is very nice when running SSB. Yes the echo (adjustable but takes some time) does ok and the tunable rogerbeep tone and time can make it more identifiable i suppose if into that sort of thing. Mine is in a pickup truck. It does do 30 watts out of the box on SSB PeP. am works well, i believe it does a clean 20 to 22 pep with upto a 10 watt dead carrier. After a few weeks i did put it on the bench and did a slight tune and the radio can do upto 55 pep on ssb and stay cool. The chassis is all aluminum and it did get warm but not hot. I left it to peak around 48 watts in the mobile running around 13.5 to 13.8v dc. Custom half and half 104in whip on the tool box. If i can hear them i can talk to them.
