Very light can barely tell its there

Bought this to ride my bike. Fits great and in really comfy.

Just like I hoped it would be!

My son totally loves his helmet. It was such a beautiful red until it got all scrapped up, but thats what its for, right?

Ordered this helmet along with a few other brands to compare. One of the other ones was certified and one was not (note that this particular helmet is not certified so it lacks the styrofoam insert). It does however have an excellent foam insert. Because it’s not certified it’s for low impact hits/crashes. I knew this when purchasing so I knew what I was getting. I’m using this for standard longboard skateboard cruising so I don’t need anything more. Whether you go with a certified helmet or not is really dependent on what you will be using the helmet for and personal preference. As soon as I tried this helmet on, I knew of the three I had ordered that this was going to be the keeper. It literally fits like a perfect sized glove on my head. So comfortable and it sits nice and low unlike many helmets that sit high on your head. As a result it looks great and you don’t look like a mushroom head. Which means you’ll be more likely to wear this helmet. Who wants to look like an extra from Space Balls? This is a really great helmet with adequate protection for what I’ll be using it for. If your going to be riding an e-board or biking this is probably not the helmet for you and you should probably consider Pro-Tec’s certified helmet which usually runs about 20 bucks more.

Durable

This is a cheaper version of this model. Its been changed in the interior foams since the last one we purchased of the same model and size This enlarged the fit a bit, it is very lose. I wish Id bought the next size smaller and that it came with some foam shims.

A good friend showed me the helmet to buy for true protection because he skates and after putting it on my sons head, I will never buy another kind of helmet!!! It’s complete protection and he explained to me how it should fit so for those who don’t know here it is: you put the helmet on top of the kids head and then just gently push it down. That’s how snag it should fit. If it’s wobbly, it’s not going to protect them. Its a helmet. I ordered this because my son has the same one so I know the fit is right for me. The right helmet is always the one you will wear consistently.

This product has a foam liner that is glued in but was not connected in this helmet. I believe the liner is supposed to be valcro but the sticky tape did not work. It also has Pro-Tec stickers applied all crooked. Very disappointing. Warranty says a year for workmanship or defects. The trick is you have to pay shipping back to them and include an additional 10 dollar check for shipping. To much trouble, not worth the headache....
