use it to make music videos blu ray discs that i download from youtube. excellent quality and sound

Ive used it to burn several 25 Gig BR disc with ImgBurn without any errors or issues.

Got the unit, started doing a backup of my system, got a write error about halfway through. After that, tried other discs, wouldnt write to any of them.

It was instantly recognized and reads very quick

This Blu-ray drive package is nice. The materials are good quality and I think its a good value. However, I was immediately prompted with an error message when I attempted to burn a disc from my MacBook Pro running Monterey. I found the error message was well-known on the internet, and there were no useful solutions. One suggestion was to downloaded a particular free burner app instead of using native support in the OS. The app likewise produced an error upon attempting to burn to the disc. So, I returned the kit and have to continue looking for a solution that works with my Mac.

This is a lightweight, and easy to use external Blu-ray player that does everything I could require from an optical drive. Most laptops dont come with optical drives because the vast majority of software and other content is available via download from the internet. That being said, I still find myself in need of an optical drive for other tasks like burning images and being able to continue using software that I purchased years ago thats still on optical media. If you find yourself in need of a quality optical drive and youre looking for something that doesnt take up much desk real estate, I can highly recommend this product to you.
