> 3 dayPlug and play - no software required. Worked great right out of the box unlike drives using the Matshita drive mechanism. Had numerous problems with them. Reads blu-rays at 2.0X speed and DVDs up to 10X speed.

Greater than one weekThis drive has a great form factor, barely larger than the discs it will read and only1/2 thick (approximately, I didnt measure). Its powered by the USB cable and works very well for me. Nothing to complain about.

> 3 dayRecomiendo este producto. Hace justo lo que se necesita de el, lo hace bien y punto. Este grabador es mejor opción que ese de 93 dólares, y de marca desconocida. Pongan unos cuantos dólares más y compren este.

> 3 dayTried this out hooked up to a brand new Macbook Air M1 with brand new adapters. Initial connection was USB via Apples multiport adapter (USB, Power, HDMI). The drive would power on and sometimes recognize a disc enough to pull header type information. Could not load a blank CD or play a DVD or commercial audio CD. Pretty sure the Macbook Airs have a rep for low power output for HDMI, so I thought maybe USB was also underpowered. I swapped out the multiport adapter for a straight USB to USB-C adapter, and the drive started working, but its incredibly slow. It took AT LEAST a 1/2 hr to burn an hour long CD. Cmon now, I was burning hour long CDs in under 5 minutes 20 years ago. No excuse. Given its possible more power would improve things, I tried running it off a MacBook Pro that typically has no issues with power output or burning CDs. It was faster, but still took 10-15 minutes to burn a 40 minute disk. On the other hand, I hooked up a different CD burner to the brand new Macbook Air, and it burned the same CD in under 6 minutes. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ODDE33U/ So, if you dont care about BluRay support, go with the other drive. I may still order the power adapter and see if this drive can be salvaged, but will probably end up returning it.
