Greater than one weekOne of the hammer locks worked fine, the other was a bad casting which prevented the halves from assembling. I had to grind down the bad casting, destroying the paint and also mill down the compression bushing in order to assemble. I didnt have the luxury of waiting for a replacement and its serving the purpose i need, but will not buy from this manufacturer in the future.

> 3 dayVery happy with these. They fit my truck AND my trailers (small trailer and 6,000 lb boat). I bought a hook from a different manufacturer originally, only to discover that it was too thick for my trailer connectors.

Greater than one weekI recently bought a new F350 tow vehicle. When trying to hook up my safety chains for towing, I discovered that the receiver hitch attach points on my new Ford are not as well designed as they could be. After researching solutions on YouTube, I found lots of people are complaining about this (cmon Ford what are you guys thinking?) and many use these connecting links to solve the problem. I ordered a pair of them for my new truck. The links arrived quickly and were well packaged. Installation was quick and easy (after picking up some tips on YouTube). They are rated for well over the weight of the trailer my wife and I have selected so I expect years of good service from them. I will post an update after towing with them for a while.

> 3 dayMy previous and current trucks are both Fords, and I always had difficulty hooking up safety chains. Some times you could try to work them in sideways, and maybe get them to latch, but they would often end up wedged in there and were just all around difficult. These were a pretty easy install. Just a few hits with a mini sledge got the pins locked in. My camper and utility trailer safety chains latch right in with no issues, buy my flatbed car/equipment trailer hooks are just ever so slightly too small to get around the diameter of the shackle. Im hoping I can find a new set that are large enough to get on the shackle. I did find that the extra length caused by the shackle really makes the safety chains hang too low. At some point I will have to remove a link or two to prevent the excess slack. Neither of my issues are really a design flaw-more just simply the nature of this kind of device.

> 3 dayJust remember to put a little grease on the pin and in the spacer sleeve and then just a few hits with a hammer and youre done. I used marine grease, but any grease should work just fine
