> 3 dayOverall not as fun as we had hoped. It is a different take on a worker placement style game. In the end we find that it is not one of our favorites, but still decent enough to keep for game nights when the family comes over.

> 3 dayQuick and easy to learn game that uses a popular mechanic in modern board games, worker placement. The basic concept is that each player has workers that on their turn they will place on the board in available locations that then either let the player perform some sort of action or gain some sort of reward. Raiders does this in a very simple and slightly different way than most other games. Each player only has ONE worker. On your turn you will choose to either Work by placing your worker on a valid, available space and performing the action or collecting the appropriate resources and then selecting a different worker on the board and performing the actions or collections for that space or Raid, if you have the proper resources, by placing your worker on one of the available raid spots on the board and carrying out the raid action there and gaining the associated worker, victory points and plunder. The easy thing to remember is that you will always start and end your turn with one worker. There are a few more nuances to the game than that, but this is a really quick game to learn and teach and loads of fun with lots of take that moments in attempts to foil your opponents.

> 3 dayA really solid worker-placement game with a really solid ruleset. For the price point, I cant recommend many other games that can do as much as it does. Each turn is taken by first placing your one worker, gaining the effect of the location you placed them (earning provisions/silver/crew/etc) and then finishing your turn by removing a worker on the board, also gaining its effect. You can choose to raid instead at the beginning of your turn if you have the requirements (crew size/provisions/gold), and youll gain VP and resources as a reward. Theres so much more beneath that and competing against the other raiders for the same locations under constraints like that is super fun.

Greater than one weekI showed my wife a video review for this game and I took her, That looks pretty cool. to mean, You should totally get on Amazon and buy that game right now! So I did. It turns out this worker-placement game focused on raiding a neighboring countryside and making offerings to your chieftain is the perfect blend of strategy and luck for us. The rulebook is clearly laid out and nicely illustrated, the components (especially the silver coins) are high quality, and the artwork on the cards is wonderful. I cant recommend this one enough if you like medium-light worker-placement games.

> 3 dayGood ideas, mediocre implementation. It is good game, but I can think of many other better worker placement games. The problem that I had was that it felt very repetitive and tiring after a while. I felt your actions/accomplishments in the end will be the same you did in the beginning. I really wanted to love the game, I do love the theme and the art, but they could have added some escalation mechanism to make the game more interesting as it progresses. Good, not great.
