works great to keep our snake cage at the right temp.

I havent had this bulb long and have had constant issues with it since. I have double checked the dome rating, and bulb the top is almost melting. Its not providing consistent heat Im constantly worried if she has enough heat. I have to now wait until I can afford a new bulb and hope and pray this one last enough for her to survive :(

Last winter I end up buying five yes thats 5 infra red 100/150 watt bulbs locally as well online. Thats a minimum of 20 bucks a pop, they just dont last like they use to. I use to buy one, maybe two a Florida winter, and that was fine but last winter broke the bank! While searching for safe alternatives for my Blue Fronted Amazon parrot I found d this ceramic heater! Keeps him warm when covered on lanai and better yet it last the whole winter...who knows maybe get another full winter out of it! Please do remember to get the recommended wire cage clamp to be safe.

This puts out a good amount of heat. Its very useful for keeping tropical animals in a normal room temperature room.

These must be seconds because they separate off of the metal socket threads, and the socket threads are smashed down so you cant even get them screwed in easily. These are junk, broken and Im returning all of them. What a waste of time.

Great for $30...over priced..but works....better to go for a generic

Ive been using these for years. They work well, and live up to their stated 5-year life expectancy, so long as you dont drop it or bang it. The ceramic is quite delicate, I suspect it gets even weaker with age from all the heating/cooling cycles, so take care not to jar it.

I thought it would heat up my 75 gallon a little more. Keeps it about 72 at night with this on. Also, looks used. Was pretty dinged up and used looking when it arrived. Overall , decent for the price

Thought it heated with light but it doesnt although my turtles dont seem to mind at all. In fact they love it. They just kick back all sprawled out and bask in its warmth. We run our AC 24/7 so they are appreciating the varied climate this provides. Would recommend. No light emitted. Need to be cautious with the fixture you use as it will burn whatever it touches, bulb itself seems pretty safe but mind to not put it too close to your pets.
