I own all the large box dominion expansions (through Nocturne at the time of writing). This one is my favorite. It can be wildly complex. There always seems to be many paths to victory. It plays great as a stand-alone expansion, and the event cards especially enhance any dominion set. Possesses a wonderful balance of introducing new concepts and of revisiting old ones. Full of cards that can alter future turns. If you were to view this as a stand-alone game, I’d say it is the best deck-builder I have ever played. Highly recommended for anyone who doesn’t mind a little complexity.

Best expansion set yet; (yes, I own them all, including the promos)!!! LOVE, love, love all of the new elements this game introduces! Definitely not for beginners but dont be afraid to give these cards a try! They appear intimidating initially but, as with any set, if you simply take a moment to read each card and follow instructions, they are self-explanatory! The recommended kingdom sets are ridiculous, as usual, and youll have way more fun if you choose to create your own meeting your individual fun game standards. I prefer to have at least one +2 actions card, one +1 buy card, 1 attack card and at least one card at each buy level. Give this a try; youll be so happy you did! Adds in a lot of good combinations and I enjoy the saving of cards that be done with the new tan reserve cards. The level up function is fun as well and can lead to amazing cus to combo builds. Also the addition of events is a fun way to help avoid some attack card types without having to load up on reaction protection cards. Best set in my opinion.

What are you waiting for...get this expansion!

My husband and I are Dominion fans! We have most of the expansions now! We really like the addition of the events and some of the cards in this are fun and new! Like the Page and Peasant with their upgrades!

One of my favorite expansions so far! It adds several new mechanics. Be forewarned that this expansion has some complex card interactions that can really be hard to understand. If you are new to Dominion, then Id recommend Prosperity or Seaside as your first expansion over this one. I miss the metal tokens, but understand why they had to be cardboard this time. There would have had to be too many different tokens made to be metal.

This expansion is dominion on steroids. The synergy of card combos makes this outstanding. The new card types (travellers and reserve, plus the events) really ramp up the whole game.

I love it. I own all of the dominion expansions and this is probably my favorite. It adds a few new elements to the game.

Great expansion! I have yet to play with other sets, but I have greatly enjoyed 2, 3, and 4 player games with this set alone. I would not recommend playing this set with any new players. Even the gentle intro requires a lot of thinking and strategy. If someone is just learning the rules they might feel discouraged to play again. Great expansion for enthusiasts like myself, but hold off on introducing this set to new players.
