Rio Grande Games Dominion Prosperity

The game is great. My only issue is the card stock they use for the cards is relatively cheap. In a game like this where you are constantly shuffling your deck it would make sense to use have durable cards. These cards are not very durable, me and my friends have to be pretty careful while shuffling to not damage the cards. You cannot do normal riffle shuffles. A game like this should really be made with the same type of card stock as casino playing cards.

My entire family (including an 8 year old son and 13 year old daughter) enjoys Prosperity. I started playing the Dominion games at work, and at least 5 of us have purchased one or more Dominion games for home. Highly recommended!

This is a fun set that adds a new treasure card and a new victory card as well as all new action cards. Ive played this with many different friends and they all love playing it. This is just an expansion so it doesnt come with copper, silver, gold treasures, estates, duchy, and providence victory cards, but you can buy a base cards pack that has those missing treasures and victory cards and the game then becomes playable without the original game.

For fans of dominion, this is one of the must have extensions. The addition of colony and platinum nod high priced kingdom cards can make your games last longer and more nail biting. This is the first expansion I bought(with intrigue) and months later, I am still happy playing with it!

Best expansion for dominion

I own all of the other current Dominion Expansions (Intrigue, Alchemy, Seaside, Prosperity) and I have to say that this expansion is the best one yet. Prosperity introduces Colony victory cards and Platinum treasure cards that dwarf the Province and Gold cards, respectively. These two new cards alone make the expansion worthwhile. Even though the instructions recommend that you not play with these cards without 5 or more cards in the supply from Prosperity, I now play with them in every game of dominion with many or no Prosperity cards in the supply. Prosperity has action cards that cost up to 8 coins to purchase. These cards are fantastic and have strong effects. Expansion is great because it allows you to trash a card from your hand for a card costing up to 3 more coin than the card trashed. You could expand a Duchy into a Province! Replacing 3 Victory Points with 6. Great card. Grand Market is another great card. I love the Market and this one gives even more buying power. There are many other great cards and many of them are treasure cards that play like actions by giving you unique bonuses. The Hoard Treasure card is fantastic because you gain a gold whenever you buy a victory card for every Hoard card in play. I have bought two estates (with an extra buy from another card) in one turn and gained two golds because I had one Hoard in play. Later on I bought a colony with two hoards in play and gained two more gold cards. Powerful! If I were to get any of the expansions, this one would be it. It totally changes the game.
