The game was all there and the quality of the contents was great, except for one glaring problem: the backs of the cards were significantly lighter than the backs of the previously released cards. When comparing them side-by-side, I can pick out the Prosperity expansion card every time. It is so obvious that it has affected the gameplay. I can tell whether the card I am about to draw is from the new expansion, I can tell which cards my opponents are holding are from the new expansion, and it significantly changes some cards like Wishing Well or Vassal. After reaching out to Rio Grande Games, they informed me this is a manufacturing defect that is affecting all current printings of the Prosperity set, meaning they didnt even have a replacement that wasnt also defective to send me. I am returning this set and will attempt to find an older printing. I suggest you steer clear of this one, since the cards wont work with your other Dominion cards.

Such a fun addon to the original game! If you have a teen, this is a very fun game to play together.

Prosperity is the most straightforward and accessible of the Dominion expansions. As its name suggests, this expansion augments big money strategies, enabling some potentially high scoring point turns and games. If you enjoy high scoring games with more energetic dynamics, then this expansion is a must. With its emphasis on big money and high scores, this expansion has slightly less complicated strategies than Dark Ages or Intrigue, making it more appropriate for younger players.

MUST have expansion for dominion. Prosperity really makes the game interesting when adding colonies and platinums. It adds so much replay value and Ive been playing nonstop since Ive gotten Dominion (base set) for a month and prosperity is not helping with this addiction!

If you like Dominion, then this game is a great expansion to add in. It adds in a new property you can buy as well as a new coin, and some fun new cards to buy in the game. All in all a nice expansion to the game.

Of all the Dominion expansions, Id say: Prosperity >= Seaside >> Alchemy The new money cards are quite interesting. I initially thought that the extra points (gained in the form of tokens) were a gimmicky, but they extend the game naturally, providing new ways to win without taking the game too far away from its origins. There are few, if any, dud cards in the set and quite a few all-stars, including Forge, Bank, Bishop, Goons, Venture, and others. Alchemy shook my faith in Dominion a little, but Prosperity set it right and Im looking forward to what comes next.

After my girlfriend and I got the base set we quickly wanted to expand our collection so I ended up picking up this. While my intention was to have another set in order to accommodate 6 players, I did not do my research and bought this thinking it combined with the base set in order to play 6. This however was my fault and in no way blame the game for it. Besides, it is so much fun it was simply a matter of time before I would have picked this expansion up either way.

Ah, money. There"s nothing like the sound of coins clinking in your hands. You vastly prefer it to the sound of coins clinking in someone else"s hands, or the sound of coins just sitting there in a pile that no-one can quite reach without getting up. Getting up, that"s all behind you now. Life has been good to you. Just ten years ago, you were tilling your own fields in a simple straw hat. Today, your kingdom stretches from sea to sea, and your straw hat is the largest the world has ever known. You also have the world"s smallest dog, and a life-size statue of yourself made out of baklava. Sure, money can"t buy happiness, but it can buy envy, anger, and also this kind of blank feeling. You still have problems troublesome neighbors that must be conquered. But this time, you"ll conquer them in style. This is the 4th addition to the game of Dominion. It adds 25 new Kingdom cards to Dominion, plus 2 new Basic cards that let players keep building up past Gold and Province. The central theme is wealth, there are treasures with abilities, cards that interact with treasures, and powerful expensive cards.
