    Now that the kids are getting older, it is a really fun thing to do together; even with littler kids its good. Sometimes my husband & I play it just the two of us. Great for the family. Great times.

    This is an expansion so you must have the original game. Also, it is best to be familiar with all of the cards and ways to play the original. This expansion not only adds many new cards, it also add new concepts, especially new ways to get victory points. If you know how to play the original, you can learn this quickly. It also adds new types of treasure cards, spending money which also has extra actions. This is lots of fun, as long as you understand the way this game is played.

    Dominion is a card game, so for durability I put 1 star. Cards are always easy to damage. These cards are no exception and after the first week from all the shuffling the game requires, they already have that used feel, instead of the smoothness new cards have. I purchased the game for my daughters 26th birthday. Its all she wants to do now and I have purchased an expansion pack for Christmas. This is a THINKING game of strategy. If you dont like to think and dont enjoy strategy games with some complexity, this is not for you. If you enjoy strategy games, you gotta get this one! The possible twists and turns of the game and the random possibilities for setting up each game make every game different, thus requiring changes in strategy based on the cards chosen to play with. We love it!

Ah, money. There"s nothing like the sound of coins clinking in your hands. You vastly prefer it to the sound of coins clinking in someone else"s hands, or the sound of coins just sitting there in a pile that no-one can quite reach without getting up. Getting up, that"s all behind you now. Life has been good to you. Just ten years ago, you were tilling your own fields in a simple straw hat. Today, your kingdom stretches from sea to sea, and your straw hat is the largest the world has ever known. You also have the world"s smallest dog, and a life-size statue of yourself made out of baklava. Sure, money can"t buy happiness, but it can buy envy, anger, and also this kind of blank feeling. You still have problems troublesome neighbors that must be conquered. But this time, you"ll conquer them in style. This is the 4th addition to the game of Dominion. It adds 25 new Kingdom cards to Dominion, plus 2 new Basic cards that let players keep building up past Gold and Province. The central theme is wealth, there are treasures with abilities, cards that interact with treasures, and powerful expensive cards.
