Greater than one weekHeadline says it all. Easy to setup and use with Mojave 10.10.5. Saves to .mov format. Decent quality, considering the source technology. Dont buy the Roxio VHS to DVD for video capture if you intend to use with Catalina, at least at this point in time (May 20).

> 3 dayI am a fairly experienced Mac user running 10.7. I wanted to migrate home VCRs to DVD. Bought the Roxio Easy VHS to DVD product, after reading several reviews and checking that they had solved the OS 10.6 to 10.7 problem. About 6 hours later, my conclusion is: SAVE YOUR MONEY, THIS PRODUCT IS FAR FROM READY FOR SALE. On installation it updates to version 2.01. I made all connections correctly. All appears to start properly. However, I consistently get a failure to save message. Hard disk space disappears, and all appears well, so you only learn this after wasting the length of the movie. Repeating the process results in the same negative result. (The used HD space is also a mystery as no file results from the aborted transfer, you cannot easily delete something and recover the space.) No support from Roxio - just many unanswered questions on their discussion boards. I understand that these companies cant afford to staff a call center, but is it too much to ask that they review and answer outstanding complaints? Nothing - no error (OSS -49) decoder, no tips or hints, just outdated product manuals. Bottom line, save your money, or spend it on some other product.

> 3 dayFor a Mac user the MyDVD app behaves like it was made for Windoze users. Very buggy and not intuitive. I kept getting a message toward the end of a DVD burn A disc burner was not found Code: -104121669 Through trial and error it seems that the disc I was using didnt have the capacity for the movies I was trying to burn. The MyDVD app indicates how much space is used and how much is available, but forget trying to fill up a disc based on those numbers. The Roxio Video Capture works quite well - no problems there.

> 3 dayI bought this to get our family videos onto my computer. It is very easy to use and worked perfectly. Made transferring all my videos seamless. I struggled at first but only because the VCR I was using was junk, but it had nothing to do with this product. If its not working for you try a different VCR.

> 3 dayThis was very difficult for me to understand how to use. May just be my level of knowledge on the product use all in itself.

> 3 dayIf youre transferring home movies from VHS to a digital file, this may be of use to you. I bought it to transfer the few remaining VHS movies I had to my computer, and I came to the conclusion that simply buying those movies used at your local used DVD store was much better in terms of price, time spent, and video quality. The software and hardware itself was simple to set up and use. No issues there.

> 3 dayI tried cheaper solutions but nothing worked as easily as this kit. After using a different random free software with this other adapter and some other brands converter and failing to get it all working properly, I bought the Roxio bundle and couldnt be more satisfied. So easy to use and worked right from the start. Converting all our old VHS-C tapes to digital for my wife for Mothers Day this year. There will be tears. Tech support was five stars because although I didnt use the support, the documentation that came with the kit was more than sufficient.

> 3 dayThis works really well, but then it stops working at all and you have to reinstall it, or at least unplug it, then plug it in and get it working again. A good price, considering I only have a limited number of VHS videos to convert into a digital format. The quality of the tapes themselves is pretty bad, but I guess thats due to age. Most of the tapes Im converting have only been watched a couple of times then stored. It would be great if there was a way to maximise the quality and convert them to a widescreen format but you cant have it all. However, it does the job as well as can be expected.

> 3 dayI had purchased it because it said that you did not need to have internet access to be able to use this program. The software on the included disc will not load unless you are connected to the internet. I had to call for assistance and they took down the serial number and my order number from when I purchased it and took a few days to get back to me saying I could not use the program without the internet. If you do not have internet access, you will not be able to load the software program. Since there is no volume control on VCR’s, all of the programs record at full maxed out volume levels and are distorted when you try to playback any discs that you create from this program. I have wasted many hours recording VCR tapes to this program. The audio records at the maximum volume. You can turn the volume all the way down on your television when you try to play back the disc and you can still hear it. I thought about connecting a mixer between the VCR and the computer. I may need to purchase the cables to connect it and give it a try.

> 3 dayEasy setup and has versatile software. Video capture is very poor, multi colored vertical interference on right extending about 15% in to frame. Random horizontal static through out capture. Sound captured is also very low volume. Would require additional processing to restore sound levels. Source used was home movies on VHC-C. Quality was the same using 3 different devices and multiple cables ( 2 VCR players and original camera used to take videos). I had originally tried a V-Top unit by Fly Kan and while their captured video and sound was excellent the device failed after only about 10 minutes. I thought that Roxio would be more dependable, and it was, But captured video is useless. I suspect all of these video capture devices use about the same chips so quality will just be random. Ill try another V-Top.
