Bought this because so many devices need a usb port but laptops only have so many. We stream our Church service and I needed multiple USB devices. Bought the powered one to avoid lagging on my video stream. Works well. I would recommend it for a fix computer station use.

I write music for video games, and having only two USB slots on my laptop, a non-powered hub wasnt keeping up with my software. Enter this little gadget. Problem solved. 10/10 recommend.

Using this because our TCL Roku TV is not able to power a large (4TB) external drive. We previously had a 500g hard drive connected directly to the tv and watched videos using the Roku Media Player app. That worked fine until we found we had the need for a larger storage hard drive. I bought a 4tb drive to accommodate all our files, but Roku Media Player would not recognize it. I Googled hard drive not recognized?, and the most common problem seemed to be that the tv source could not power the drive and therefore needed a powered usb hub to provide enough power. Hoping this would solve that problem, I ordered this. Perfect solution. Easy set up. Plug hub into an outlet, and the other end into the usb port of the tv. Plug hard drive into one of the powered ports on the hub. Works perfectly. Each port has its own on-off button. There is a blue light at each port that indicates if the port is on or off, so its visually easy to tell if theres power to a port. Only one slight con that might be a problem, is that the buttons that turn each port of/off are pretty easily pushed. Murphys Law means you only find this out once youve settled down to watch a movie. Ive solved this problem by just tucking the hub back behind the tv where it wont inadvertently get touched, but if you need to place it out in the open, just be aware and visually keep tabs on it. * * Update Jan 2020 * * Since purchasing one of these, I have purchased 3 more to use with Roku products. The most recent is being used with a TV that is not a Roku TV. I purchased a Roku Ultra device and am using this powered USB hub to power an external drive and watch videos via the Roku Media Player app. Nothing but happy with this product.

I like the on/off push buttons.

Works well as a hub, but I was expecting rapid charge ability frpm a powered hub.

Bought 2 units and one failed after a month. The other unit has been working fine and is used continuously. Products do fail from time to time but support makes all the difference. RSHTECH, after finding out about the problem promptly sent a replacement unit for the failed one. Now both units are working fine and I highly recommend both the USB Hub and RSHTECH.

I bought this as a fix for the lack of usb ports on my laptop. I set it up, plugged it in to both the outlet and my computer and it was perfect! I was able to use my mouse, keyboard, and microsoft webcam at the same time, which I couldnt even do with other usb hubs, because my webcam previously had to be plugged directly into my laptop. The fact that this product was powered fixed that. Then I unplugged it from my laptop so I could use it on my bed. When I later returned to my desk, the hub worked on its own, plugged into the wall- it would charge my phone and even my mouse would light up. But the moment I tried to connect it to my computer, all the lights would turn off and it would cease to function. It would even register on the system report as a usb device! Yet wouldnt function. This completely defeated the purpose of me purchasing this product. Because it worked great, I discarded the packaging and am now stuck with a useless thing that cant be used for what I need. Dang.

Worked at first but then a few days later it stopped working. Very disappointed.

Perfect fit for the night table!

I bought this to have an extension for my external internet card so it wouldnt be loose and hanging out to where it would get bumped. Honestly, I wish I would have got it sooner. It grips well to the male usb allowing no wiggle room. It stays in the computer usb port better than anything else Ive ever put in and completely eliminated the disconnection issues Id been having. It feels solid and I like the ability to turn off and on different usb ports rather than have to disconnect things, although I do wish the blue lighting was less blindingly bright.
