Very easy to install and actually made it easier to close our 5th wheel door versus the stock door lock that came on our rig. It was relatively easy to install and program the outside lock with our code. Unfortunately, we have had issues getting the key fob to unlock both the upper and lower locks. Still trying to figure it out before we have to call customer service.

I use the find the right lock feature from RVLock web site. It was easy. There are always doubts as to weather you got the right one. It arrived and I followed instructions. It says ten minutes but that might be pretty aggressive if your not handy. The only thing I was surprised by is that there was no Zero or Nine selection to be had when setting your discount code. All in all everything went great.

The installation was easy. A little more than 10 minutes but that was due to the heavy wind blowing the door around. Finally had to tape the outside part of the lock into the door to get the screws started. Then everything was a breeze. Programing was easy. One fob either didnt have a battery or has a bad battery. Waiting for an eyeglass repair kit (tiny Phillips screwdriver) and batteries to get to our camping area to be able to install a good battery. Overall very happy with the function of the lock. Would have been a 5 star review if the second key fob worked.

I took off old lock by way of 4 screws and installed new keyless lock with 4 new screws in less than 30 minutes. Programming took longer because video I was watching had some misinformation. I used instructions that came with new lock and they were spot on and reprogrammed in 5 minutes. Really flawless and a perfect fit. No alterations needed. Out with old, in with the new. It’s that simple.

Love this. We have had trouble with the remote fobs, but this is unimportant.

The product itself is excellent. Quality all metal construction. Feels solid in your hands. Programming the keypad and key fobs was very simple. The real issue came when removing my existing handle. For the life of me, I could not get the plate around the existing latch and deadbolt off. Tried and failed repeatedly with my screwdriver. Then read, the manufacturer of my door may have used an adhesive, such as Loctite, to secure the screws. Read further to find a heat gun or solder would be necessary to heat up the screws and loosen them. Went and bought a soldering tool heated up the screws, but still could not get them out. Tried so hard that I eventually stripped the screws. Then went and bought a screw extractor from the hardware store. It was worthless, didnt work at all. Finally, I just decided to drill out the screws, but the screws were stainless steel, so I needed to buy a Cobalt bit. Bought a 1/4 Cobalt bit and EUREKA within a few minutes I drilled away the stripped screw head and the plate fell right off. This is no reflection on RVLOCK, the product itself is great, just a warning that if indeed your current handle manufacturer didnt go overboard in how their latch plate is attached, this install may very well take only 10 minutes. If however if your current handle was like mine, it could take you two days to install as it did me. Product is excellent but install times may vary.

Updated below. Simple to install. I love not having to carry a key. I have camped perhaps 30 days last year so the lock is not getting full-time use. The bad: The FOBs didnt work after just a few months. The keypads were heavily worn within 6 months cracked within 8 months. This is a known issue from the manufacturer given they sell replacement pads. Finally, the inside manual lock broke off in my hand while I was inside. The lock was great until it wasnt. Will I buy again? I dont know yet:) I really like have a keypad so that I dont have to carry my keys. Maybe $150 per year is the cost of the convenience. Its supposed to have a warranty but another common complaint about this product is the lack of customer service. I am not willing to spend a lot of time getting the run-around. Grrrr. UPDATE: As it turns out RVLock has great customer service. I wrote them about my problems and they immediately offered to ship replacement parts. No fuss. I wrote an email and they agreed and sent me a link to buy the replacements for $0. I elected to purchase an upgraded silicone keypad instead of an exact replacement. This is as good as I could have hoped for. I expect the new pad to last longer. These people stand behind their product and I am happy (again) that I made this purchase.
