I built my PC back in late February, and for that time this SSD was really good. Fastest boot times Ive ever had in a computer, great game load times, It performed super well all around. Then in late october, my PC randomly blue screened and turned off. When I tried to turn it back on, it would not boot. Then I got an error saying the boot drive cannot be found. After troubleshooting, I determined the SSD was dead. I then contacted Sabrent Support, which responded to me after 2 days, which isnt bad. However, Sabrents support website and service is straight up awful, and my first response from support asked me to turn the PC on and download Rocket Control Panel, which I obviously couldnt do because the SSD was dead. I replied to the email, and didnt receive a response for another 3 days. Finally, I get a response from support asking me to follow up on the initial response, warning the case will be automatically closed. Wondering what was going on, I replied again, and 2 days later I got enough response saying they are closing the ticket because they couldnt get in touch with me. This is when I realized that in order to contact Sabrent, I would have to make a new ticket EVERY SINGLE TIME I replied to an email because their website doesnt have a reply feature either! I probably made like 7 new support tickets. On the bright side, I did get a replacement SSD which arrived in December, a little over a month later. Since december it has been working, though I bought a Samsung 970 Pro to replace it as my boot drive since I wasnt waiting for a month to use my PC, so it is now my gaming drive mainly. I talked to a few people who had a similar experience as me, so it seems that its somewhat common. I cant recommend this SSD because of this, please take your money elsewhere, as I feel like Sabrent has some sort of QC issues.

Unless you know for a fact that it will physically fit in the motherboard used by you avoid getting the heatsink. Just looking at the motherboard specifications fails to count. This mistake was made by me when building a new computer. [MSI MPG X570 GAMING PRO CARBON WIFI] was purchased by me but when assembling the computer this M.2 Internal SSD the screw meant to lock the memory against its connector failed to line up with the hole for it in the motherboard. However, the computer is being used by me right now to type this review. So without the heatsink, the M.2 Internal SSD works great, to the distortion of mine. Yet as an amateur, a guru or professional may know of some fix or workaround that is unknown to me. For sharing Gravity, grateful to you am I. The drive comes in a nice little package and runs at the advertised speed. It’s has only been a couple of months, but everything is operating smoothly.

Decided to finally upgrade my boot drive from a Samsung Evo 960 250GB drive to this Sabrent Rocket NVMe 4.0 1TB, in order to install more of my favorite games on my boot drive in addition to the operating system. This drive is also a much newer generation and has WAY faster read/write speeds on paper. I still use spinning HDDs for storage and backup (an external 8TB, 2 internal 3TB, and 1 internal 4TB). Anyway, when I saw this ultra fast drive at an affordable price point with outstanding reviews I jumped on it. Sabrents Acronis cloning software was ridiculously easy to use, a few clicks and it cloned everything from my 250GB drive including the boot sector, while still maintaining the full 1TB of storage space (minus 70GB or about 7%, which is to be expected). WHen I rebooted and set this drive to the boot drive in BIOS, it booted up immediately. Overall Im extremely satisfied. IMPORTANT NOTE: My box didnt have the serial number on it, just a black box that says S/N above the model number. The serial number is on the actual drive, so make sure that you record it before installing the drive under a heat sink in order to register the drive.

This drive was worked very good for 3 years but it started causing crashing issues about 3 years in to its life and I have been forced to replace it. When I made this purchase it was $180 for a 1TB Drive, which I expected to last longer than it did.

Great drive, I have no issue with Sabrent, the drive, or the software they provide. The issue has to do with large storage size ssds in general. you will have to manually reformat this drive from MBT to GPT for storage partitions to be properly sized. Windows just does not play nice when auto partitioning this drive in its default MBT format. There are plenty of youtube videos that will walk you through this process either from a fresh windows install or formatting within windows and then mirroring a drive. For those who are thinking of transferring an OS from an HDD(harddisk Drive) to and SDD(SolidState Drive) its better to do a fresh install of windows on the new drive reinstall all your programs and then transfer files from the old drive over. This has to do with the different ways HDDs and SSDs store data. You will lose out on some of the performance this drive has to offer if you dont. Great drive, great price and performance, highly recommend. Just requires a little more work than some may expect.

For amazon, its worth mentioning I actually got what I ordered! It really is a heck of a lot faster than my older 970 EVO, but the difference is only something youre going to notice in specific scenarios and mostly if youre looking for it. What sold me on the upgrade is the warranty and lifespan which is advertised as better. It is really an amazing value. I wish I had a 10tb sabrent rocket nvme 4.0 as my SATA drives are soooo slow compared to these. Heat hasnt been an issue really as my motherboard has a heatsink/fan thing with thermal pads on the copper heat spreader (another huge plus imo) this Sabrent 10tb nvme comes with. Video editing : I do video editing and I didnt realize how much my SATA drive was holding me back especially on renders. When outputting to NVME, I noticed my render times dropped dramatically. I should not be surprised because the renders Ive noticed this on are 10bit huge files, but it is worth mentioning that a video card upgrade may cause your hard drive to become a bottleneck.

Its lightning fast and works as good as the day I got it. Im planning to purchase another soon. It has stood the test of time and is reasonably priced compared to alternatives.

I compared this to many other NVMe drives on the market and was looking to upgrade from my older Gen3 500gb offbrand NVMe I was using as my boot drive. I considered the industry accepted go-tos Samsung and Western Digitals of the memory world, but I decided to give Sabrent a try as the price to performance wasnt matched by anyone else in the segment. I am glad I did. Cloning my boot drive with Sabrents Acronis software could not have been easier, a couple of clicks and I was done. Moving my OS (Windows 10) and relevant data from the old drive to the new was easy, ridiculously easy. I now have a much faster (Rocket is an appropriate name) drive, with more storage for a relatively low price. My OS loads quicker, games and programs I have installed on this drive have faster load and response times, and moving huge files happens FAST. I am so impressed I am planning on ordering two more and populating all my M.2 slots and maybe running a RAID set up. While it is not a make it or break item I did like the tin case it was shipped in, packaging was a nice touch, and the Acronis software available for download is a value add as well. If your in the market for NVMe Gen 4 M.2 drive I would highly recommend this product. Please make sure your motherboard has PCIexpress 4.0 (Gen4) M.2 slot (although this is backwards compatible and will work in a Gen3 M.2 slot, albeit with a reduced bandwidth). Note I am using this on a B550 Aorus Master motherboard.
