> 3 dayPerformance is fine, it runs as advertised. However, I use this on my desktop daily driver and I had the first one die on me about 6 months in. I got a replacement through warranty and that one just died after about two years. I would avoid these and go with the samsung 980 pro which is about the same price anyway.

> 3 dayDecided to finally upgrade my boot drive from a Samsung Evo 960 250GB drive to this Sabrent Rocket NVMe 4.0 1TB, in order to install more of my favorite games on my boot drive in addition to the operating system. This drive is also a much newer generation and has WAY faster read/write speeds on paper. I still use spinning HDDs for storage and backup (an external 8TB, 2 internal 3TB, and 1 internal 4TB). Anyway, when I saw this ultra fast drive at an affordable price point with outstanding reviews I jumped on it. Sabrents Acronis cloning software was ridiculously easy to use, a few clicks and it cloned everything from my 250GB drive including the boot sector, while still maintaining the full 1TB of storage space (minus 70GB or about 7%, which is to be expected). WHen I rebooted and set this drive to the boot drive in BIOS, it booted up immediately. Overall Im extremely satisfied. IMPORTANT NOTE: My box didnt have the serial number on it, just a black box that says S/N above the model number. The serial number is on the actual drive, so make sure that you record it before installing the drive under a heat sink in order to register the drive.

> 3 daySabrent Storage drives in my personal opinion are the best drives I have used in multiple situations... This is for the purchase I made of x2 1TB Sabrent Rocket Nvme PCIe 4.0 Gen4 M.2 Drives... I bought both of these one night when they were having a quick sale with half off the original pricing... I was building a new PC and grabbed them while I could... They have been nothing but reliable and super fast! I use them in my Gigabyte Motherboard M.2 Slots #2 & #3 as Storage & Backup. (My Slot #1 holds a 500MB Samsung 980 Pro I grabbed when that was on sale just for my OS) I wouldve added another Sabrent M.2 drive like these 1TB models as my OS however I wanted to test out Samsungs high end M.2 as so far only Sabrent & Samsung have been the best choices from all the research Ive gone thru... Its just Samsung usually gets 2nd place with me vs Sabrent due to cost but when theres a sale thats different at times... These each have a capacity of 1TB & the software used with them to analyze the drives and keep them updated runs perfectly fine... Ive had zero issues with Sabrent Drives and will continue to purchase them... If anyone is interested in an awesome external USB-C (to usb-c or to usb-a it has 2 cables) I would check out the Sabrent 1TB Rocket Nano External SSD Drive! Its amazing for portable storage and its extremely fast with data transfers! Its built in USB 3.2 gives speeds of 1,000MB/s! Check it out if u like on Amazon... search for: SB-1TB-NANO-BLK

> 3 dayI will likely be updating this review, as I built a brand new PC and would like to write a comprehensive review regarding all components. However, the review will include individual product reviews as well, so let this be the first of the lot. Ill keep it simple for now. First and foremost: this drive is great. Its stupid fast, looks nice, and so far, Ive had zero problems. That said, Im also a first time NVMe user, so take that with a grain of salt. Even an SSD drive would have been a substantial upgrade for me, so its hard to fully gauge the quality of this product. Which brings me to the only cons/concerns I have. 1) Assembling the heatsink felt a bit sketchy. The amount of pressure I had to apply in order to align the screws correctly was much greater than Id have expected. Even with said pressure, two of the screws barely caught thread and anchored properly. If youve got arthritis or low hand strength, a vise might be appropriate... 2) So far, Ive yet to see even a whiff of the read/write speed the drive boasts (while still seeing 2,000+ MB/sec on benchmarks, which seems in-line with most NVMe drives). While that doesnt really upset me, seeing as its ridiculously fast anyway, my X570 + Ryzen 7 3700X *should* be able to take advantage of it -- I just havent seen it yet. Perhaps thats just a limitation of the benchmark software Ive used so far (largely UserBenchmark for anything other than the CPU/GPU), but its worth noting *for now.* If I ever see a file transfer/benchmark that reveals the boasted 5,000MB/sec, I will most certainly update this. 3) With the above point in mind, I highly recommend you go with the 1TB version at minimum. My benchmark has fallen substantially since I first ran it, and I suspect its because of the limited storage I have left for sequential writes. Furthermore, the 1TB+ versions seem to have better specs overall. Last thoughts for this initial review: my first benchmark on UserBenchmark put this drive at some 380% efficiency, ranking my PC as a UFO across the board. That is a tremendous score. While it has fallen to below expected versus other benches using this drive on my latest bench, it hasnt seen any real-world performance issues. I again suspect its entirely because of the remaining space on the drive. Do I recommend the Sabrent Rocket 4? I definitely do. Just dont make my mistake and think that because you were only using ~170GB of total data on your previous PC that you wont suddenly end up with almost twice that with the increase in power/performance/ability to actually play modern games/use intensive apps, haha.

> 3 dayThis was my first time using this brand and I am pleasantly surprised in the speed and performance. This will be my go to brand for future builds and I recommend to anyone who was skeptical like I was to try it. You wont be disappointed.

> 3 dayBE WARNED. NO HEAT SINKS INCLUDED. After waiting weeks for Amazon Prime delivery of a few of the Sabrent 2 TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 drives to be delivered. NO HEAT SINK or even Thermal Tape is included with these particular Sabrent 2 TB PCIe 4.0 M 2 drives. Ordering the OPTIONAL SABRENT M.2 Heat Sink costs about an additional $25 (USD) per M.2 drive along with the additional wait time for the heat sink shipment to arrive. PLEASE TAKE NOTICE: DO NOT try and run ANY PCIe 4.0 M.2 drive without a HEAT SINK. Presently, nearly ALL PCIe 4.0 M.2 NVMe drive use the Phison Drive Controller that does get hot. You can not complain too much because screaming through these 2 TB M.2 gumstick drives is a ton of high speed data. Heat is BAD because of: (1.) Throttling- System mandatory/caused speed and data throughput slow down. (2.) Shortened device longevity. (3.) Thermally induced error as malformed data, out of thermal envelope, stable collateral device functioning and computational orchestration. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR. DO NOT RUN ANY HIGH SPEED PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 drive without a heat sink.
