The drive comes in a nice little package and runs at the advertised speed. It’s has only been a couple of months, but everything is operating smoothly.

This drive was worked very good for 3 years but it started causing crashing issues about 3 years in to its life and I have been forced to replace it. When I made this purchase it was $180 for a 1TB Drive, which I expected to last longer than it did.

This SSD performs quite well on my in house build PC - which has two Gen4 PCIe M.2 ports. I am getting full 7000 MB/s reads. After years of transfer rates around 300 to 600 MB/s, this SSD is absolutely stunning. Absolutely zooming along in LightRoom.

The first drive I received didnt work properly. After an easy exchange, the replacement works great and its very fast. Definitely recommend.

I compared this to many other NVMe drives on the market and was looking to upgrade from my older Gen3 500gb offbrand NVMe I was using as my boot drive. I considered the industry accepted go-tos Samsung and Western Digitals of the memory world, but I decided to give Sabrent a try as the price to performance wasnt matched by anyone else in the segment. I am glad I did. Cloning my boot drive with Sabrents Acronis software could not have been easier, a couple of clicks and I was done. Moving my OS (Windows 10) and relevant data from the old drive to the new was easy, ridiculously easy. I now have a much faster (Rocket is an appropriate name) drive, with more storage for a relatively low price. My OS loads quicker, games and programs I have installed on this drive have faster load and response times, and moving huge files happens FAST. I am so impressed I am planning on ordering two more and populating all my M.2 slots and maybe running a RAID set up. While it is not a make it or break item I did like the tin case it was shipped in, packaging was a nice touch, and the Acronis software available for download is a value add as well. If your in the market for NVMe Gen 4 M.2 drive I would highly recommend this product. Please make sure your motherboard has PCIexpress 4.0 (Gen4) M.2 slot (although this is backwards compatible and will work in a Gen3 M.2 slot, albeit with a reduced bandwidth). Note I am using this on a B550 Aorus Master motherboard.

Great ssd so far, most games(not all) load times decreased significantly over my old sata ssd, will update the review if anything happens with it.

So far so good. Been using this drive for 3 1/2 years every day doing normal activities. Programs load super fast and the drive is still showing that it has 96% life still left. Never the less, good solid drive that hasnt let me down yet. Crystal mark shows 5 GB per/second read & 2 GB p/s write.

Sabrent is a brand I never heard of up until a few years ago, and it had become mentioned often amongst tech-tubers and hardware reviewers. I decided to give the company a try, and purchased their 2tb model for my new computer build (5600x, w/Asus B550i Strix Motherboard). Im not going to comment on installation, performance, etc.. because well, all NVME drivers install the same way as any other, and performance seems only incrementally faster then a normal SSD connected to a SATA, which I suspect is due to most games not taking advantage of these drives strengths. What I will comment on is the firmware support and customer support from Sabrent. For the most part, the drive is compatible with my setup, but I had overlooked one tiny, crucial thing: its not on Asuss (my motherboard manufacturer) Qualified Vender List. Whats that you say? Well, basically, it goes on that list once the piece of hardware has been tested to work with the motherboard. And unfortunately, Sabrents model wasnt on there. As a matter of fact, Sabrent wasnt on A LOT of the motherboards manufacturers QVL list. I suspect this is why this NVME is more affordable then, lets say, a comparable $350+ Samsung. You pay a little more for the Samsung because part of that cost includes Samsung going out of their way to talk to the Motherboard venders to ensure, or at least to develop, proper firmware drivers to support the motherboard. Sabrent doesnt seem to do that (based on my lookup for other motherboard makers - including my own). As a result, some things may or may not work as they should, and in my case, I encountered an issued where, when I put the computer to sleep and attempted to turn it on, after the 2nd attempt, it would completely reboot itself and then go into the system UEFI, which now displays no Sabrent NVME. In order to fix this, I would have to do a normal restart. It also means that I cant reliably put my computer in a sleep state and would need to turn on / shutdown the machine each time I want to use and, and when Im done. Is it annoying? YES. Is it enough to have forced me to return it? No, because I can live with it. If youre thinking of buying this, it would be up to you on whether you would want to gamble with that kind of reliability and potentially end up with an issue thats even worse. Oh, and one last thing - I contacted Sabrent about this issue, and I pointed out to them that theyre not on a venders QVL list. They basically just blew it off and said it was something else or the venders fault. Their response was also very poorly written and hard to understand, and didnt seem progress beyond offering a few basic troubleshooting steps (which I did before contacting them). Overall, Im ambivalent about this product and this company. While the issue above is not a deal-breaker for my current purchase, I would probably think twice over saving a few dollars and just buy a more expensive, more reputable brand.

Beautiful drive comes beautifully packaged in metal case. Once I got it running it was great - but it took QUITE a while. I initially used an NVME USB C case to mount the drive in but my Asus ROG Strix 570e did not like that combination and the computer kept freezing up. The Acronis software didnt work either. No big deal so I mounted the drive in the second M.2 socket. That did not go well either - same problem. I gave up for a few days and pondered the situation. It then occurred to me to clone my original M.2 Gen.3 to an SATA drive using Mini Tool Partition Wizard. 10 Min. later - DONE. It booted fine off the HD. I then removed the original Gen. 3 Silicon Power drive and replaced it in the same slot with the 1TB Sabrent. Fired up Sabrents Acronis Software and 7 Min. later it was finished. Shut down the computer. Removed the SATA drive that I cloned from. Fired it up again and checked the Bios. It was fine. The boot folder was updated with the Sabrent drive as the main boot drive. Now 2 days later and Ive booted up the PC maybe 20 times with no errors. It took a bit of work but Im very happy now. Not blaming Sabrent. I know they offer a USB C case for cloning but I figured mine would work. It didnt. I did think about installing windows from scratch (and even tried it) but some of my software refused to activate. I think this Gen 4 thing is just a little bit too new still. I suspect that in a few months they will have it sorted out and make the transition a lot easier. Finally, I tested it with Crystal Disk Mark and it met its specs! 1800TBW is great for TLC and as good or better than MLC. Ive seen comparable QLC drives that only have a 200TBW rating (same 1TB size). So, If youre doing a fresh install it should be a piece of cake. If cloning, be prepared to spend some time on it. *****UPDATE***** Its now a year later since I bought this drive and it has been FLAWLESS! I test the speed once in a while and although it might be slightly slower than when totally fresh, its very close. What I like best is the endurance of this drive. 1800TBW is way more than most other TLC drives and even beats some MLC drives. Just an amazing product.
