Extreamly EASY to install litreally like spreading Peanut butter on toast and thats not even the best part, A Heatsink specially made for ps5. YALL LISTENIN TO THIS. The other ssd cost 189$ and above easily without a heatsink and specially made for ps5 lol forget it. You think that was the best part? Nah Nah Nah, yall know the feeling of odering from a new restaurant and when it arrives its 2x bigger than what you might expected. Well same goes for this after I was done install and boot up the ps5 my reading speed was 6520.001 Mb/s and this reading speed was for 1Tb purchase. Yea I think I just died and went to heaven.

This combo is a simple, easy solution to upgrade the storage capacity of your PS5. There are other NVME drives out there, some cheaper, some faster. There other are heatsinks out there, some work, some dont, some fit, some dont. This one is 100% compatible for your PS5 at full rated speeds, and the heatsink not only fits, but has been proven by tech youtubers to actually lower temps. No guesswork. And the price is reasonable - as far as PCIgen4 NVME drives go for these days.

The ssd is very easy and quick to install. The only issue I had was the screwdriver that it came with was to small and I had to get a different screwdriver, if it wasnt for that I would give this 5 stars.

So I bought my 1st PS5 earlier this month, model 12xx and I got this at 1TB with heatsink cover. Took me longer to install cuz my first time trying to take off the PS5 cover, and it does go in easily. However, I just noticed watching install videos(after I already put in mine), the little spacer on my PS5 does not go in to the PCB board like on all the videos, mine is different, it sits on top of all the holes on the PCB, so as soon as I unscrew it there is no way it stays in place by itself. What I did was stick the little screw driver through the spacer and into the PCB hole, slide the SSD in slot, use the screw driver then to pry/nudge the SSD into the slot, very gently, cuz fat fingers, again, gently take out the screw driver so the spacer stays in place to align screw. Put the rest together, formatted through PS5 1 time, showing 65xx mb/s and 1.02TBs free space.

Even though this isnt the fastest on the market available for PS5, its easily the best and most affordable as it not only comes with the heatsink, but the heatsink also becomes the panel door as well. You cant get easier than that. The whole process took me about 10 minutes...if that...to install. The PS5 recognized it right away, formatted it, and was ready to use it. I simply had to go into the settings and direct new PS5 downloads to go to it instead. I then loaded Spiderman onto it and then compared it to the internal drive that came pre-installed by moving it there, and honestly, I cant tell the difference. It seems just as fast as the pre-installed one.

Performed EXACTLY as advertised in fact I have more real world performance than I expected. I bought it for my PS5 and the only regret I have is that I couldnt buy it sooner. May buy again (drive & PC heatsink) for my future Ryzen Windows 11. Thanks for sticking to your word and delivering an amazing product Sabrent.

Bought for my PS5, as several tests have shown the replacement for the M2 compartment lid also assist temps. Everything installed easily, temps are great, speed is great. If you want to buy an M2 expansion for your PS5 and know youll have no issues, this is a great one to get.
