> 3 dayI used these for demo motors to show kids how things work. The first thing I did was pull the grease covers (shields) off and wash the bearing with acetone to clean them. Be aware that the set that I purchased did not come packed with grease, which for me was great - less cleaning. I want the kids to see how the bear works. The great thing is that still today after thousands of rotations and hours of running time, none have failed.

> 3 dayI had several damaged bearings that could hardly turn and one where the shielding came off completely. Minor issues are the outer diameter is small by about 0.5mm and they wobble quite a bit. I use these for little 3D printer project but I doubt I would ever put these on a skateboard.

the crunch
17-11-2024works in a lot of prints for 3d printers. i used to add to prints for a mount for the filament spools and a filament feed guide. greatly reduces tugging and grabbing and i have plenty of extras!

> 3 dayBought these for a custom fidget spinner. With the original grease, it spun around twice. Two rotations. I removed the dust covers and grease and they worked much better (though obviously dont do that on a skateboard)

One more time
Greater than one weekThe bearings are coated with some type of tacky oil (I assume to protect them). The rollers do not turn smoothly and have a lot of resistance. I tried soaking them in Acetone (twice) but had limited success. It did not appear to dissolve all the oil inside the bearing. I tried Xylene and that worked better. I still have 6 bearings with high friction. I will try another soak with Xylene.. If successful I will then lubricate with white oil.

> 3 dayThe ball bearings did do what they were supposed to, but didn’t do it well. The bearings were heavily greased to the point of no free spin. With a nice isopropyl bath they end up working for what I needed them for.

Nightmare Actual
> 3 dayI read a lot of reviews stating they dont spin very well. This is 100% true. When you get them, they are gummy. A spray of WD40 and working them a bit will have them spinning nicely in no time. I dont use them for whatever they were manufactured for, so I cant say if they are good for whatever that is, but for hobby projects or 3D printed stuff, they work swimmingly.

> 3 dayInexpensive option for non performance related projects where the bearing must spin but does not need to spin freely/loosely (ex a carousel vs a fidget spinner). -- 100% worked for what I needed but will likely look for a different freer spinning bearing on my next purchase.

> 3 dayI got the bearing to use for the 3d print parts, but out of the box the bearing does not rotate too well. You may need some clean up and re lubricant depends on the use. Overall its OK for basic use.
