Safety 1st® Onboard 35 LT Infant Car Seat, Monument

I purchased this car seat at sears but i am leaving a review here as a warning to all parents considering this car seat. It is NOT safe. The base will not tighten enough to become secure. The strap that attaches to the latches is SEWN too far to the right for us to properly anchor the seat down. We moved on the the belt method and the base still slid around. We tried to in stall it in both a Camaro and a Dodge Ram. After contacting customer service i had to TEXT the representative and she requested videos of the issue i gladly obliged she then told me it was because i was pushing in the wrong spot and that the movement was “to help absorb impact forces” which is laughable because the base will literally flip all the way up and moves considerably more than an inch either way. When i informed her that we had another car seat base that did not move at all she then told me it was because they were different manufacturers. I also informed her that the FIRE DEPARTMENT had deemed it unsafe and she asked if the fireman was certified and what his certification number is. So i am not in the process of setting up an appointment to go back to the fire department obtain a certification number and yet again have the seat deemed unsafe. The customer service is the worst Ive ever had the displeasure of experiencing. Not to mention the car seat being a piece of crap and if a first time parent were to be the one installing it they may not have noticed that it was not safe. I will be uploading videos of both the safety first base and and graco one. Want my advice? Buy a graco so you dont have to worry about your infants safety.

Sun visit keeps unclipping and the handle is difficult to move back and forward. But otherwise a nice and comfy seat.

2nd child so i know how to install a carseat base. I have never bought a safety 1st carseat before this one. Would NOT get tight. We used my mitsubishi outlander sport’s anchors and the base wiggles and flips up. No way will i be using this. Returning..just sucks i wasted one of my baby registry completion discounts. You get what you pay for i guess.

Perfect fit

Please don’t waste your time with this car seat. It’s is very esthetically pleasing, but not comfortable for your child. The bottom buckle is oversized and cut into my daughters thighs! It also doesn’t tighten the way it should, and I don’t recommend. Keep your little ones comfortable and safe by NOT purchasing this car seat.

Exact base I expected and works great with the Safety 1st OnBoard 35 LT Adjustable Infant Car Seat as advertised. It is so much easier to have the extra base for our grandbaby.

My nephew fits perfect and thank you for the fast delivery.
