My 11 yr old autistic child worked at it to unbuckle. Loved she couldnt unbuckle but ended up squirming out of belt due to her skinny body.

This product does not interfere with the seatbelt safety at all. It fits easily over the buckle receiver and the buckle goes into a slot that is plenty large enough. It is easy enough to unbuckle using a car, house, or other key inserted into a slot that covers the release button for the buckle. My child was not able to unbuckle herself, which kept her safe. We have used this on several car rides since receiving it.

I returned because I could not get the strap or second piece to close around my belt material. The piece that covers the ejection button works great but if it is the only piece you use, other companies sell for less and include a key like option. This does not—you supply the key to unlock. The option to have the belt be unable to stretch was why I wanted to try this product. My son couldn’t unbuckle with the ejection cover but was able to extend the belt until he could step out. I was able to get a refund without returning the product.

The buckle is great, stays secure and in place but the seatbelt clip is horrible honestly. Its really hard to clip it on and when you finally get it, its easy for the young child to make the belt loose enough and slip out.

If you have a child that doesnt quite understand that taking their seat belt off is dangerous yet loves to see your reaction when they do it while youre driving, this product is for you!!! Once my son realized hed get a reaction out of me if he unlatched his seat belt while I was driving, it became impossible to drive him anywhere by myself. I had to always have someone in the car sitting next to him. Luckily, I came across this product and it changed our life (well, at least our life while driving). Now that he realizes he cant undo the seat belt, we dont have any issues in the car like we used to. He doesnt fight going into the car any more, probably because its just a much more enjoyable experience. I know I was tense with worry wondering if he was going to undo his seat belt. Im sure he picked up on that (us parents of special needs kids know how intuitive our kids are to our feelings). Such a simple device but such a huge relief!!

Works good my 4 year old son got super mad he cant get out on his own anymore

My 14 yr old son has a neurological issue that has caused him to decline and he was taking off his seatbelt and trying to open the car door. This easily keeps the buckle secured until I’m ready. Easy to unlock. No hassle. Bought 2 more for my husband and daughter to use when they have my son in the car.

My intellectually disabled daughter has getting out of her seatbelt for quite a bit. We finally found a product that doesn’t allow her to do that anymore!

The installation of it is a bit of a pain due to the seatbelt stopper not wanting to lock without having to put quite a bit of effort into it as the seatbelts are a lil thick (same trouble, no matter the vehicle as Ive used it in multiple different ones) what I do love is that once Im able to manage getting it on I dont have to take it off everytime I unbunckle/buckle my daughter the next time we get into the vehicle. I did learn that if you put the buckle safety protector on the seatbelt piece itself it is much easier than putting it on the buckle an trying to find the hole to click it in. Also if you lose the attachment (like myself) to slide in the hole to unbuckle the seatbelt, one of your keys or even a pencil will work lol Over all I love it. Does exactly what its intended for. Im satisfied with the product. I recommend but not for people who dont have much strength cause it can be tough most the time
