17-11-2024If you have a child that doesnt quite understand that taking their seat belt off is dangerous yet loves to see your reaction when they do it while youre driving, this product is for you!!! Once my son realized hed get a reaction out of me if he unlatched his seat belt while I was driving, it became impossible to drive him anywhere by myself. I had to always have someone in the car sitting next to him. Luckily, I came across this product and it changed our life (well, at least our life while driving). Now that he realizes he cant undo the seat belt, we dont have any issues in the car like we used to. He doesnt fight going into the car any more, probably because its just a much more enjoyable experience. I know I was tense with worry wondering if he was going to undo his seat belt. Im sure he picked up on that (us parents of special needs kids know how intuitive our kids are to our feelings). Such a simple device but such a huge relief!!

> 3 dayThis is probably my best amazon purchase yet. I have a five year old that keeps unbuckling his seatbelt when he doesn’t want to leave a place. This is super easy to use. I can quickly get it on and buckled before he realizes it. Then I just tell my kid that it can’t come off until I turn the car off and use the car key. Which the car key fits perfectly in the gap to unbuckle the seatbelt.

> 3 dayDon’t understand what the longer piece is for but the part to cover the seatbelt button is the best easy to install and even easier to uninstall takes seconds to take off if needed and as for my son trying to get it off he’s tried so hard but he can’t get it undone and yes you can use any key to uninstall

> 3 dayMy 14 yr old son has a neurological issue that has caused him to decline and he was taking off his seatbelt and trying to open the car door. This easily keeps the buckle secured until I’m ready. Easy to unlock. No hassle. Bought 2 more for my husband and daughter to use when they have my son in the car.

> 3 dayI LOVE this product! It comes with the buckle cover and the clamp to prevent the seatbelt from getting pulled loose through the booster seat. The buckle button cover portion is very sturdy... I accidentally ran it over with my car, and no cracks or stress Marks at all! My child likes to get out of his seat when Im driving and that is one of the scariest things! Hes only gotten out of this twice... because I didnt clamp the seatbelt close enough. This is perfect for Houdini toddlers and extra special adults who need extra precautions. Genius idea and works very well! The only thing I would change is to have a little break off bar you can jam into the hole if you need to unbuckle them in an emergency.

16-11-2024I have a 6 year old autistic son and he likes to put his seatbelts on before leaving and off when I park on his own. He found this contraption and placed it backwards. I had to snug the flattest key in to unbuckle my kid. Fortunately, he didnt lose his mind because the seatbelts wouldnt unfasten and the belt was getting tight.

> 3 dayThis product is misleading. It only works on the base of the seat belt buckle that goes into the car. It will not prevent the child from unbuckleing his car seat harness and getting out of the car seat. Hell get out of the seat but the seat will stay buckled to the car. Thats so dumb and pointless.

> 3 dayI have a 8 year old son with autism. We recently switched from harness mode to high back booster mode with his car seat. He kept unbuckling his seat belt on the high way or in town and my husband and I were constantly pulling over to buckle him back in. He even climbed into the passenger seat. I purchased two of these (one for my car, and one for my husbands car) and they arrived in two days. Very easy to use and they work!!!! Our son is unable to unbuckle himself. We use are car keys to unlock his seat belt. Easy. My only complaint is that you have to store it somewhere until ready to use it again and it could get losses. Weve been storing them in our cars hidden. Lol. I will be buying one more for his grandmas car.

Greater than one weekI got this set to stop the child car seat from being accidentally unbuckled by a rear adult passenger, and to use the locking clip for a car seat that doesnt have a built-in lock-off. I thought it would be easier than the typical metal ones (like the Diono Superlock for example). The buckle cover does what it says, although its a little bit loose which made it annoying to use with a seat belt locking clip that actually does its job. I say do its job because the locking clip in this kit is a totally useless piece of junk! Even with nothing between the two arms, you need to fidget it into alignment to close the little plastic latch at the end. Now, if you have any kind of fabric in between the arms (which is the WHOLE POINT), its literally impossible to a) close the arms tight and b) close the clip. In hindsight, I have no idea if this rather chintsy plastic locking clip is safe to use with a child seat in a vehicle, so its probably good that I was forced to go back to the metal locking clips.

> 3 dayOur 16 year old with special needs had been riding in a car seat for well over 10 years, lately because he couldnt unbuckle it. He started letting us know he was too big for it so we found an alternative to keep him safely buckled. Its simple and effective. Pro tip: lock the seatbelt so your kid cant wiggle themselves out. We keep at least two in the car, one for him and one so we can keep him from unbuckling the loud and complainy one sitting next to him.
