Thought the SSD received was a reject/DOA shipped to me. They seller should do a 1 page IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR WINDOWS 10 INSTALLATION or something close to that. The problem is, after decades of installing/replacing HDs in PCs, installing this type of Disk Drive isnt recognized when installed and the PC powered back on. Normally, a new device shows up in the Disk Manager and at most needs formatting.

My laptop had long boot times and then hurry up and wait after logging into Windows before I could do anything. That process sometimes took over 3 minutes even AFTER reimaging my old hard drive. After using Partition Wizard to image over to the SSD (I also purchased a Sabrent 2.5 SATA Hard Drive/SSD to USB 3.0 Adapter) and installing it physically into my laptop. My boot time and AFTER logging into Windows to get to a ready status to work, it took only 15 seconds total.

Good quality

Made my older laptop work better than it did new. The old hard drive was in such bad shape that it would take 2 hours just to turn on. With this one installed it takes less than 30 seconds and you’re up and running.

Upgraded my dell xps 8700 HDD to this SSD. Cloning using the samsung migration software was a breeze. Now my dell xps runs new again.

I have bought a number of these Samsung drives. They may not be the cheapest but the migration and monitoring software provided make them worth the little extra cost. The speed improvement and reliability factor definitely make them worth the purchase.

My old MacBook pro 2009 loads up in 40 seconds and fast opening anything thats all I need to say good deal.
