> 24 hourIf you have a spinning type of HDD and your system is slowing down and youre starting to worry about bad sectors etc etc ... then it is time to upgrade to a SSD ... no moving parts ... I did this and my system now runs faster and even a non-techo type like me was able to do the install ... BUT ... what Samsung failed to remind about was I would need a SATA:USB cable for the data migration (at a cost), and that if your drive is partitioned the Samsung migration tool doesnt work, and that the only tools I could find to do the disk cloning cost me nearly as much as the (256Gb) drive! However ... once I got past all that - things went much more smoothly and everything is up and running and Im happy that my system runs faster and with no chance of head crashes destroying my data!

> 24 hourBest SSDs on the market! Easy to clone using Samsung Data Migration tool, and easy to maintain using the SSD Magician software. Super fast, huge improvement.

> 24 hourWorks as a replacement for a boot drive (the spinning type) and makes the pc more responsive, faster boot time etc.

> 24 hourIm glad I upgraded from my 240GB drive. The drive should really come with a SATA cable and instructions that are included are very inadequate. This purchase was to upgrade my boot drive on a desktop PC. I had 2 internal SATA ports still available and after locating a SATA cable I installed the drive. I downloaded Macrium Reflect Free software and cloned my C: drive. The process was fairly quick. I then shut down the PC, disconnected the original drive, rebooted the PC and checked that there were no apparent errors and it appears that the process was flawless. I left the original boot drive in the PC (not connected) as an emergency backup of my operating system and applications as they were at the time I cloned the drive. Since the new drive is 4 times larger, I will eventually repurpose the 240GB drive.
