Ive been purchasing Samsung drives for years and the quality really seems to have gone down hill. I have two drives still running in a NAS from 2012, but the ones I purchased after 2019 have taken a real dive. 3/4 drives have failed within 12 months and are unrecoverable. This includes the 860 and 870 EVO. As a person that buys drives maybe 2-3x a year for various projects Seagate and Western Digital seem to be the way to go in terms of reliability.

Tried to use Samsung cloning software twice. Once I letnit run for 28 hours and once for 40 after clean reboots. Gave up and used Macrium Reflect. Blazingly fast!

So far, so, good. Very quick. Easy to install. I wish it came with mounting screws, though. Im just lucky I happened to have found at least 2 screws that fit its thread within the dozens of computer screws I have. I like how quick and quiet SSDs are. Its so nice to have a computer that boots up in seconds, instead of minutes. lol

Title says it all. I repair PCs and use SSD drives to bring old machines back from the dead. I only buy Samsung EVO and Crucial MX500 depending on which is cheaper at the time, as I learned the cheaper ones all have inferior controllers, particularly the Phison 11.

This drive was easy to clone using Samsungs software. Its no challenge to install this, especially if youre replacing an existing SSD drive.

I have never had a problem with Samsung SSDs so far, Ive purchased 4 and they are all working well.

Really Great drive! Its hard to go wrong with Samsung. If you installing an SSD for first time pick Samsung.
