Finally being able to grab a PS5, my next purchase was to get some additional memory, since the new console really doesn’t have much. Installation is pretty easy, the PS5 recognized it immediately and formatted it within a couple minutes. After setting this as the default storage for the console, I installed several games with no issues. Installs were fairly quick, with the exception of downloads taking their time for digital games or in my case, updates after installing the disk version. This memory has good speed and having used a Samsung SSD as a computer boot drive for years, I know the memory is reliable. The memory also has a good 5-year warranty, which may get tested in a console. I do think these are a bit pricy even on sale, but if you play a lot of console games, a necessary purchase.

When the one terabyte drive that was in my laptop reported eminent failure, I picked one of these up and did a straight across clone. Then I adjusted my C partition so that I have twice the space that I had before. This has been very reliable for me and in fact since my laptop can take two drives, I purchased a second one in populated the other slot. So now I have 400% more space than was initially sold to me with the laptop. Very quality workmanship and reliable. I highly recommend this

Took about 10 minutes to install. Watched YouTube video and felt less intimidated. Highly recommend. Easy to format by following simple instructions. Poof! There it was, 2tb extra storage, 20 minutes later. Not a techy. Just a mom with Google. Switched PS5 games save to default here and was able to keep PS4 games defaulted to old external drive. Very straight forward and user friendly.

Unlike the WD that I had to return, this worked as soon as installed.

I put my games on my PS5 back on the console from another SSD and it took about 20-25 minutes. Installed this one and transferred what was on the other SSD and 100 GB MORE. It took 5 minutes total!! Simply awesome!

I paid 99.99 for 1 terabyte. and its a trusted brand. bests the 229 theyvstarted off at. for 100 or less with heatsink 1 tb definately worth it. If over 100 justvwait and youll find it gotta have patience

This is installed on a gaming PCIe 3.0 build so It cannot take full advantage of PCIe 4.0 but you get futureproofing for a small fee.

This is the 2nd Samsung 980 PRO that I have purchased. The first time around I got one with no heatsink since there is already one heat sink included on the motherboard. Properly installing the heat sink was kind of a pain so for the 2nd one (on a different PC) I decided to get the included heat sink.. Installation took about 3 minutes rather than 10 min without and I still have the included heat sink on motherboard if i find a killer deal on one later.. I am unable to get the full 7000mbs but I am getting close at 6500.

The impossibly tiny screw needed to mount this does not come with the product. Unless you have extra on hand tough luck.
