It works well speeds are more than good enough for the PS5. Can’t speak to longevity but the price is nestled pretty well for the brand and included heatsink. Overall no complaints.

Looked up a video to make sure I knew what I was doing but came packaged well not damaged and worked! 2tb gaming here I come!

First time using m.2 nvme and its the best

Bought this for my PS5. Got a great price and the installation was easy and the drive is quick and without any hiccups! Its a Samsung so it was well made and a great company that stands behind its products.

Easy install worth the money

So far so good. Got 2 TB at a good price, its the main drive in my new PC and its getting great throughput. Came preloaded with latest firmware according to Samsung Magician, so thats good for people who dont want to deal with that sort of thing.

This SSD Drive is a great product. As we see the mechanical hard drives becoming old technology (yet still relevant) .This gem of an SSD Drive brings to the table a reliable means of data storage at a reasonable cost. Reliable and a lot of storage space are definitely a fair assessment of this product. I use mine in a mid size tower as the boot drive, without worrying about crashes or other issues. I highly recommend this product

I like the speed of the 980PRO. I have about 10 different M.2 SSDs of varying sizes, capacities, generations, etc. I had hoped to use this one in a mini PC, but found that the factory heat sink is too large for that use. I decided to use it in an enclosure (a bit of a waste for an SSD in this speed range), but even that was a challenge as it would not fit in any regular SSD enclosures. I cant really rate the full speed of the device since I could only use it with an external enclosure and only with one of about 10 different enclosures that I tried. If the heat sink were only a couple of millimeters thinner, things would have been so much easier. If you are putting this in a PC that has lots of room, I think having the heat sink is a great idea, just didnt work in mini PCs for me.

For anyone considering this for a PS5, Id highly recommend buying it with a heat sink. Sure, it is more expensive but in the long run with the PS5, it is better to go with the heatsink because, as far as I know of, the bay where you put it in, does not have airflow so temps are a concern.
