> 3 dayAs I have stated in another review, there are some really good drives out there for a decent price, and anyone of them you cant go wrong in buying them. In this case, Samsungs reliability of the product itself is why I bought this drive, actually two of them. These are for computer systems. Both systems have 16GB of memory, an Intel I5 at 3.9GB on a Socket 1200, 11th gen processor. Ok, so heres the but. Running a portable version of Crystal Disk Mark 8 V4, I consistently got roughly these figures. I measured the figures on both drives. So that means at least they both were consistent. I only looked at two figures, the Read/Write and the continuous Write. I ran Disk Mark about four or 5 times. So the figures are roughly what I saw.

> 3 dayI like the speed of the 980PRO. I have about 10 different M.2 SSDs of varying sizes, capacities, generations, etc. I had hoped to use this one in a mini PC, but found that the factory heat sink is too large for that use. I decided to use it in an enclosure (a bit of a waste for an SSD in this speed range), but even that was a challenge as it would not fit in any regular SSD enclosures. I cant really rate the full speed of the device since I could only use it with an external enclosure and only with one of about 10 different enclosures that I tried. If the heat sink were only a couple of millimeters thinner, things would have been so much easier. If you are putting this in a PC that has lots of room, I think having the heat sink is a great idea, just didnt work in mini PCs for me.

Greater than one weekI purchased this SSD for my desktop, I own a business and am a graphic designer. I needed a drive that could handle the software programs I use for my trade as well as the storage for the multiple revisions of work I do

> 3 dayAs a consumer of the Samsung 980 Pro NVMe SSD, I have experienced both positive and negative aspects of this product. Firstly, I recorded impressive read and write speeds of 2244 MB/s and 2180 MB/s respectively using an external ACASIS 40Gbps NVMe Enclosure. However, I noticed that the temperatures of the drive can get up to 39-40 degrees Celsius, which has been a concern for some users.

> 3 dayLuckily mine came with the latest firmware, so I didnt have to update it. I slapped it in my PS5, checked the speed, and got on with gaming. Even if you do have to update, the process isnt that hard. There are plenty of YouTube videos that will tell you what to do. But it seems like they are all shipping with the latest firmware now, so thats good. Buy one, or five!
