I added this to my Dell XPS 17, and it is blazing fast. I havent benchmarked it with a benchmarking application, but so far copying files is as fast as I have ever seen on any of my devices.

Man its fast! It runs cool as well so you dont have to worry about running way too hot when its pushing hard. Ill get the Pro version in 1TB soon then Ill have a killer 980 combo! This 980 offers great speed and is dependable. My games load extremely quickly thanks to this drive and as soon as Windows brings direct storage into the mix Ill be able to take advantage of it with my 980. Highly recommend it especially at its affordable price point. Great value indeed

Samsung makes a good SSD. Easy to install and fast as greased lightning.

My old HDD in my laptop was starting to die so i bought this in order to replace it. The computer did not recognize it but the software from Samsung showed that is was installed. You have to format it by setting up a new volume within disk managment and then set it up to a MBR disk and from there dynamic. Only then will the drive show up in my PC. The Samsung Data Migration software was still unable to clone my old drive so i had to decrypt my drive and disable my anti virus software. ONLY THEN did the transfer start. I have no idea how long it took as i left it overnight. This entire ordeal with the troubleshooting and all took over 12 hours. But in the end it was well worth it as i not only saved my data, but now my computer boots up in less than 5 seconds whereas before with the old HDD it would take over a minute. It runs very smoothly for me but getting to this point was an ordeal i would rather not do again.

Of course its a beast. Just I dont like it comes 465GB instead of 500GB :D

This is plenty good enough for my gaming laptop setup and closes the gap between it and the desktop setup. Great performance to price ratio and when you dont need the fastest and the greatest the cost savings really add up.

it was very easy to upgrade my laptop. It has been working perfectly with all my engineering work load.
