Greater than one weekI think samsung is such a great tech company. I love most of their products. The T line of their hard drives are exceptional. So easy to use and portable and fast. Im a music producer and have had the t5 for at least 3 years and its just now running out space. T7 is just as great and I love the compatibility with Samsung phones. GET THIS DRIVE, YOU WONT REGRET IT!

> 3 dayVery fast copy and paste. It does NOT get hot in temperature. It’s worth the extra cash to get this Samsung item.

Greater than one weekI have these in different colors just because its a bit easier to keep track of which is which, and I love them. At the current price (late summer 22) of about $110 this is a no-brainer. Im very impressed with the speed. To be fair, I only copy several GB at a time onto these, as I use them as backup drives, and I dont measure but they are fast.

> 3 dayThe Samsung T7 2 TB is fast and small. Over the years, I have accumulated a number of WD Ultra My Passport hard-drives. They work fine. But I do not believe they are SS drives. They use a USB type A connection. I read that USB C connecting SSD drives download 3 - 6 times faster than USB A connecting non-SSD hard drives. When I have backed-up selected files from my Microsoft Surface Book 3 laptop (> 400 GB), it usually took about 4 hours using my USB A connected WD drive. The Samsung T7 has a solid state drive and connects via USB type C to type C cable (with both USB A and USB C cables shipped with the drive). I was dubious of whether I would notice that much difference. But took a little over an hour to backup a little over 400 GB. So my experience is consistent with what I read. Finally, you may also read that the Samsung T7 is smallish. Believe it. Not that it was all that important to me. But the Samsung T7 is really small (3 x 2 inches). Overall, you will need to decide if a backup drive that costs twice as much is worth 3 - 4 times less waiting. For me, it was well worth it. I hate waiting . . . especially at work.

Happy buyer
> 3 dayI like the small size. I like that it did not get hot, I liked that it has a great capacity. Truly a plug and play. I used it to replace the small Tesla usb drive that comes with the car. But, I would buy this again to use wherever I need it!
