I’ve tried several ways to back up my IOS devices. I didn’t like iTunes because I felt a lack of control over where the files were stores. The wireless drive was like trying to drain the ocean with a straw. Then when I tried copying files from the wireless to the PC, some of the files disappeared! The drive is solid and sturdy unlike the T1 series. The USB port is well designed and fits snug enough to use it while dangling from the PC it is plugged into. It is lightning fast, I get roughly 450MB (450 megabytes) / second on read and wrote operations without caching. Cached reads and writes are insanely fast, too fast to easily measure.

Wanted to add some external storage to my PS5. Works really well and seamlessly, the reviews are true: apps here load almost as fast as the internal PS5 SSD. A higher speed SSD like the T7 isn’t necessary.

This SSD plugged into my computer and it instantly worked. Backed up thousands of pictures, hundreds of documents, and iPhone backups in less than 5 minutes. Simply effective.
