> 3 dayI got this to augment the onboard drive on my MBP. The USB C connection is what really sold me. I looked at dozens of others and even though they say USB C - they just include a USB 3 to USB 3 adapter so you arent really getting the USB C.

> 3 daySamsung developed what appears to be a high quality 2TB SSD in a small package. I received this unit, formatted it for my new iMac 27” computer OS, I used the USB-C cable and started to back up 1TB of photos (mostly raw format). This process was rather quick compared to prior back ups on my other mechanical USB portable drives. Very happy with this drive, of course, would have liked to see the price a bit lower, but that is the market for such items. Overall I am pleased with the value I have received.

> 3 dayThis 2 TB SSD HD (that cost Me 300$ Canadian on Amazon) worked fine since 2018 when I acquired it. As of today I cannot use it - I keep getting a Disconnected - No Samsung Portable SSD is Connected message from the SSD with my 2017 MacBook Pro running Big Sur version 11.6. The other Samsung SSD that I use to back up the same Mac, acquired at the same time, works well, so it is not a Mac OS issue.

> 3 dayI have an older Dell, Windows 8 laptop, with 8GB of RAM, which was upgraded to 8.1, but when Windows 10 came out, Dell said it was incompatible and could not be upgraded. I got a Windows 10 laptop later, but it was so slow, due to all of the bloatware that came with it. My solution was to either buy a new, much more expensive laptop, with 32GB of RAM or try this trick -- get this SSD 1TB external drive and transfer all data to it, leaving only programs, APS, and OS on the main hard drive. I hit it out of the park with this one! My laptop acts like it did when brand new, 5 years ago. The Samsung SSD stays cool, runs fast, with no delays. And with signing up for the Amazon/Symphony Bank Store card, I got a $100 gift card toward the SSD. So, $55 instead of $1600? I have already recommended this SSD to others. No, I do not work for Amazon or received anything for this review, only a major solution to a seemingly difficult problem. I thought the SSD would help, but never thought it would be so good.
