I love this portable HD. Its lightweight and has great storage capacity. Compatible w Mac or pc.

I install macOS and it booted the same times as my iMacs hard rice. The goal was to get a faster rate and file transfer as an SSD would do but this failed miserably. Does not work for me at all.

Got one of these for my new iPad Pro 2020. Id like to be able to keep all my movies and photos on it to be able to have direct access to if I dont have an internet connection. When I got the drive, I plugged it into my Mac, downloaded a photo file folder, then plugged it into the iPad and boom, there were all the photos just like youd expect. No reformatting, no use of the Samsung included software. I did not find an explanation of what that software is for, but apparently it does not matter. Its nice that the iPad has pretty much all of the functionality of a normal computer now. External drives, file folder system, mouse/touchpad support etc. All we had to do was keep shoveling money at Apple for 10 years to get it

Reformat it for time machine and youre off. Works super well.

I’ve tried WD external storage and they always have issues and are slow. This is one of the best portable storage drives I have ever had
