> 3 dayThis thing is super small and so much faster than I expected. I mainly got it to store pictures on, and I’m super happy with it so far.

> 3 dayThis works to store dash cam footage and if you want to play your own music (mp3s). You just have partition the drive. Works perfectly!

> 3 dayIts nice, and much speedier than my old Western Digital HD. Doesnt have any kind of back-up software either. Just a pass-word security set-up. When I say speedy though, it is only relative. I only have USB 3.1 on my computer. At best, I can run about 150-200 Mbps. Quite often though it is less than 50. It seems to dislike certain data types more than others. The download speeds are extremely variable. Maybe virus scan software? Dont know.

> 3 dayThis drive is 10x faster than my 12 year old Seagate TimeMachine drive of the same capacity. Its hard to believe after 30 years of Macs just how fast data transfer has become. I remember spending hours backing up my hd to 50 floppies and listening to the grind, grind... Here I have 10,000 times the storage space as this floppies and can carry it in a shirt pocket rather than a shoe box.

Greater than one weekUpdated : a deep scan recovery tools was able to do a 27 hour scan and recover the missing data. Turns out the default file system has no journaling enabled therefore it was unable to gracefully recover the data. Highly recommend reformatting after receiving the drive. Since reformatting no data lose between many different mounts and unmounts. Received today, went to test it. Copied files from computer A to Samsung T7 drive, copied files from drive to computer B. Move files from computer b to Samsung drive safe eject and plug into computer A all b files missing. Tried all major data recovery tools files are no longer present lost 3 weeks of research. While I dont need the research, it still not an acceptable loss; if this was family photos, dont destroy your data go another route.
