> 3 dayThe device was easy to plug in, and offered me right away (on my Mac) the 12 TB of Sorge I needed. I used it for a Carbon Copy Cloner target, and that worked great, and I had been using another 10 TB drive as a Time Machine drive backup medium, so now with twi G-drives (10TB + 12TB) I am fully backed-up and protected. This is a good company, with good products that I fully endorse!

> 3 dayI have the 12Tb version, works with no issues, not loud at all for a beast this size, I’m just zeroing it right out, it’s taking a bit of time but no issues at all. The guy that gave it a one star review, did you format yours? This are preformated for mac only.

> 3 dayI bought this SanDisk Professional to replace a failing drive. I was able to copy the failing drives data to it and Ive been very pleased with its responsiveness and performance so far. Its quiet and quick, just what I needed for photo and video editing!

> 3 dayThe machine was very noisy in terms of the stylus seeking information on the disk. The advertised transfer speeds were not present either. The unit ran extremely hot and made very loud noises, like all units that are not controlled by the USB port, it was on all the time. Very disappointed in these products. I have invested in LaCie products recommended by Apple as I was connecting this drive to the new Mac Studio computer. Not only were the LaCie products less expensive but they work very, very, well. I believe Western Digital is a valuable player in the small portable market but I won’t invest in any of their desktop products going forward.

01-06-2025Ive had the drive for almost a year and am on my second warranty replacement. The first was because the drive was loud and made noise. On hearing a recording, support agreed to replace it. The second drive was just as loud, but expected, according to support. Now the power plug port is failing. The slightest bump causes the drive to lose power. Im waiting on a replacement. Id avoid this brand of drives, if I were you.
