Greater than one weekEven though the interface is USB-C, the actual date transfer speed is quite slow. I am only getting 125Mbs.

> 3 dayThe description states it is configured for Mac OS use, but can easily be reconfigured for PC use. It is not that easy to reconfigure and SanDisk does not provide a detailed procedure. Reconfiguration requires more than a few keystrokes.

> 3 dayIve been buying G-technology (now SanDisk Pro) drives for more than a decade. When friends ask about external drives for video playback, photo storage, serious back-up, these are the drives I point them to first. Ive never had one fail (ymmv), all of the drives Ive ever purchased are still in operation by myself or a family member. The only reason I even buy new drives is I keep filling them up. The speed and stability is extremely reliable. Ive never found the drive noise to be a problem, but if you need to do audio recording you will encounter read/write clicks, so placement is important. The only reason I dont give these a higher portability rating is because they are not bus powered (I would not expect them to be). If you do want to move these around our travel with them you will have to deal with the cabling, and if you do need to transport drives lots you should be familiar with proper care to avoid damaging the drive mechanism (these days, Id drop the money on fast SSDs for travel). If you need speed and reliability, these are always a safe bet.

> 3 dayI’ve trusted G-technology for many years. It’s a great drive. Glad they upped the storage. My only issue was that it wasn’t shipped inside a brown cardboard box over the product box. That’s risky, especially for a hard drive where shock in shipment can ruin it. All hard drive shipments should be extremely well packaged.

> 3 dayHave a bunch of the older silver thunderbolt models but have favored using multiple SSDs as of late. These new ones are much faster! Will be switching back for a lot of uses.

> 3 dayI own several hard drives including RAID sets. This SanDisk drive has great storage, but it is the loudest and hottest drive I own. The clicking/clacking is intermittent but loud. The drive does not appear to have a fan, and all sides of the metal case get hot. A drive costing over $700 should be of better quality!

> 3 dayThis product once purchased can not be returned or replaced. My new drive crashed and lost all me data. Ive been trying to use a recovery app thats been running for 1 week non stop to recover my data and its only at 40%. Stay away!

> 3 dayI bought this SanDisk Professional to replace a failing drive. I was able to copy the failing drives data to it and Ive been very pleased with its responsiveness and performance so far. Its quiet and quick, just what I needed for photo and video editing!
